It's no lie. I have a huge old snoz!
My GG friends said when I am fully dressed I pass fully...for a second until my nose...
that's honesty.
Sooooo...what to do? Can surgery reduce this big old hunk of flesh? The bulb on the end is as big as a normal nose

Of course you can! I had a nose job covered by my insurance after a horse broke my nose.

I'm in the UK :)
There is such a thing as private health care but we pay 11% of our wages every payday for the NHS anyway :)
But it's good to hear they can do stuff with it...truly haha 🙂

Many of the cosmetic clinics will offer a free initial consultation, so you could have a talk with a specialist who should at least give you a basic idea of what might be possible. X

My surgery involve three steps. The bridge of my nose had a lump removed and was reduced. The sides of the nose were narrowed. Both of these steps were done by filing the cartilage through a cut made inside the nostril. The last step was breaking the bottom of the nose so it could be tilted up. After the surgery the whole thing is held in place with a cast for about a week. It may take months for the last of the swelling to go down but the nose gets better looking as time goes on so don't judge it by your first look.

Nose jobs can normally be done under local anesthetics. First, the bulb at the nose tip is easily reduced by scraping and the nostrils are easily made smaller by sone minor inside stitching.
Second you can safely replace the bridge with a silicone bridge insert that can be any shape you like. Im going for this next month, want a slight dish shape. Most peopke say I have a great nose but I can so I will.
Costs in Bangkok. Silicone replacement plus minor bulb reduction and nostrils cost USD1,000. Local anesthetic. Surgery done at Clinic.

oh god I could never do it under local anesthesia. Too much pain. I did a thread lift under local anesthesia and it was torturous.
Assuming you are caucasian your nose is likely big due to the nasal bone. If so you would want to find a rhino specialist who has experiencing performing rasping and lateral osteotomy. This will remove the hump and narrow the bone. If you want your tip can be narrowed too. Asians typically use septal graft extension and bte to define the tip but for caucasians the tissue structure is different so clamping and suturing the tip cartilage is often done instead.

Mine was done while I was awake and the only discomfort I felt was when they were breaking the bottom of the nose to tilt it up. They use a hammer and a chisel and the pounding gave me a headache. All of the other work was completely painless.

I was born with an odd nose because of the way it was attached to my face...it was huge and all over the place...over the years I had several surgeries to correct it and a number of other things that came with it. The last surgery on my nose being 40 years ago. I had pretty much learned to live with the monster.
I thought I would give it one more go last year and I was astounded at how far we have come and they performed 5 separate procedures to my nose...when I came out of the anaesthetic and looked in the mirror even though it was really swollen it was still way smaller than it had been with the big bulbous part gone!! Since the swelling went down and its been 6 months since I had it done you can now see what a remarkable job they can do. I actually like my nose now...
