Hiya guys!

The name's Alex, nice to meet you. I've actually joined the forum because recently, I've been really confused about my gender identity again - I've IDed as agender for years (not out to anyone IRL save 3 close friends) but I've been really struggling with my self image and dysphoria as well as not quite feeling like agender fits so much; I'm currently leaning toward a more masculine identity, and I hope that joining this and talking to people with likewise feelings might help me figure everything out ^_^

Anyways, I'm 21 years old, I love to write, read, and listen to music. I'm a huge fan of alternative rock, indie rock, electronic rock, pop punk, those kinda vibes.

As previously mentioned I'm not out to many except close friends IRL and friends online, though I'm debating coming out once I'm more sure of everything again. I go by they/them and he/him pronouns, and I prefer masculine titles!

Welcome to the forum.

Yeah, we live in a world where the binary dominates. Most can't handle anything in between and it will take a long time before our societies can deal with gender fluidity. You can be any gender you want in your private space, but once you hit the bigger world, you will be classified as either F or M.

Anyways, enjoy the exploration and finding your way in this weird world of ours :D

Welcome to Susan's Place. I often see that the non binary having difficulty figuring out exactly where they belong. Unfortunately as non binary, you could be 70% male and 30% female making things very unclear where you belong. One thing that might help is   "the transition channel"  (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfO3B57E6NpIn-KsVjvmLLw). It's more structured for the transitioning transsexual but it you find you are disagreeing with the statements, you should be very careful about a transition. On the other hand, if you are in agreement, you might be more binary than you think.

Thanks! Yup, unfortunately we do. In my native language there are also hardly any neutral terms and no neutral pronouns which I can use for myself, which just makes things worse. I'm at least lucky enough to have support and understanding from the friends that do know; most of them are active in queer communities too, so they're aware of these things more than others.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out when I have a day off from work again. I actually know from more friends who are kind of in the same struggle as me that tends to be true. We're all confused to say the least, and all we're really sure of is that we're not the gender we were assigned at birth. But I'm sure all of us will figure it out sooner or later, or at least find a way to be more comfortable in daily life.
