Title: Purchase a vehicle

I know this is a basic life task, but I just purchased a vehicle for the first time. It's like life went from black/white to color (after that guy lost his eyesight; it's like I changed... I have to get engage with life). Buying, driving, and all that brings me to utter terror for many years, especially driving. But there was a deal I could turn down, and I actually like the look of it. Test drive, check it, it's all good, from a reliable friend....
I know this may seem lame, I feel like I accomplish everything I need to do with my life right now (not quite yet)... but it feels like that.
For your questions I'm 25. So I knew I had a problem, but I have to get over it. I need to drive.

I don't know if that's cause by hyper feminization of the brain, but driving is not easy for me.

Good job! Now, drive defensively, especially at the beginning and don't take shortcuts on car maintenance and tires.

Kids(millennials) don't seem to have the need to drive a car as the previous generations did. We saw it as a path to independence whereas they seem to see it as a liability and conformity. I'd hate to depend on others to get around.

Congratulations! Always remember to look both ways TWICE before pulling into traffic... And one more time for good luck as you pull in!

You're in far better shape then my nephew, some 30 y/o and still living in an attic apartment with my sister and her husband. After a minor fender bender he has been terrified to drive for about the last 10 years now.
Oh yes, full disclosure, he is an Only Child :o

Hi,
I do hope you become more comfortable with driving. Being afraid of it is inhibiting and even can be dangerous not on for you but for everyone else on the road. The you have the other extreme, those that believe they can drive like maniacs, cutting in and out of traffic. They are also an obvious danger to everyone on the road, The key is to become comfortable with driving and to be careful and practice cautious defensive driving habits every time you get behind the wheel. This has worked for me since I began driving at 17. I am now 64. I have never had a moving violation and only been pulled over a few times. I did earn a DUII about 19 years ago but I was not driving when I got it... I had been though and yes I was wrong for doing it. I have driven well over a million miles and do not plan on stopping anytime soon.
You can do it. Be calm, become comfortable, and enjoy the drive safely.
Hugs,
Laurie
