Title: Advice
Post by: berkeleyjackson4 on July 26, 2017, 04:38:40 PM
I'm Easton and I'm new to this as a transgender man. I was wondering if I could get some advice on binders and what type of packers should I use first? Or the STP?

I highly recommend GC2B binders! I prefer the short one but some prefer the long because they don't look like a sports bra or they like the longer material.

What qualities are you looking for most in a packer? Realism? Cost? STP functions? I have several I can recommend depending on what you're looking for.

Binders that get recommended most are Underworks or GC2B. I don't recommend any brands that have metal clasps or close with velcro. If you're a bigger dude, I would recommend tanktop style. If you're thin, the half tanks are best.

Packers are really whatever you're comfortable with. Mr. Limpy is a good starter model and comes in a few different sizes. It can also be modified to use as a STP device.

If you know you want to STP, I would specifically go looking for an STP packer. These typically will cost more and need to be either worn with a harness, packing underwear, or adhesive. The EZP from Transthetics comes very highly recommended.

On the packer - ehhh, yes and no. You can buy a Mr. Limpy and a funnel and make your own for less than half that price. If that is what you are looking for, I would do that instead and save some money.

The binder is Underworks, so yes.

The binder you've chosen should be pretty good in terms of coverage and binding power, though personally, I'd recommend a half tank/crop top. These things get hot. They also have a tendency to awkwardly roll up if they get any lower than your natural waist. The stomach compression the longer ones provide can be nice, but for me it is not worth the suffering (or the stomach acne.)

GC2B binders are the most comfortable/breathable, but they're not really cut to fit guys with a larger cup size. At best, you'll get a lot of side boob hanging out, at worst, you'll spill out of the armholes entirely.

Underworks has better coverage and costs the same. I'd go with them to start out with if you have a larger chest. Les Love Boat has some good options as well, but they're pricier and aren't really much of an improvement in terms of binding power (though the fit may be better.) If you have a less common body type, there are even some places like Shapeshifters that'll make custom binders to your measurements, though again, you'll be paying more for that.

These are my measurements of a chest binder so if I wanted to buy a binder online that is not expensive which website should I use (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170727/cf771d0559d2e903d8011b7a6ad9bbc9.jpg)

In North America, at least, Underworks and GC2B are the two cheapest options that can be counted on to be safe and not terrible quality, so it's a matter of deciding between those two if price is the main factor.

Both of those brands offer multiple sizes, so finding one that fits the widest part of your chest won't be an issue either way. But which brand will fit best has mostly to do with the difference between the widest part of your chest and your "underbust"/"band size" if we were talking bras. If the difference between your bust and underbust measurements is smaller (i.e., you're an A-C cup) then GC2B will fit fine, feel better against your skin, and get much less sweaty. But if the difference is bigger (i.e., you're a D cup or larger) then you might want to go with Underworks to provide more support and prevent the side boob that bigger guys get with GC2B's lower armholes.

You only give one chest measurement, so it's unclear which of those categories you fall under.

Narrow it down to the binder you want and then chat with customer support on that site. It's not that hard.
