Title: Too low T?
Post by: Pisces228 on August 10, 2017, 08:15:00 AM
Has anyone been told their T is too low as an MTF?  I had my 1 year check up on Tuesday and my Dr said my labs looked a little low on estradiol and T.  She doubled my estradiol and halved my spiro.   Is too low To a thing for mtf?

According to my Dr., zero T is fine.  I asked when mine got that low.

I'm post-op close to 8 yrs and decided to add a little T not because my T was low (3-8 ng/dl) but because I just felt I lacked some drive/ambition, I wanted thicker, better looking skin, a little more muscle mass, improve cellulite, etc. So far, so good. I had been on high and low doses of E and P before so it seemed something was still missing. Too low T may perhaps have a negative impact on some, not all women. YMMV.  ;)

Just to add, even with zero T for well over a year now I haven't really had any problems with muscle mass or energy.  It seems counterintuitive but my body seems to have adjusted somehow to a pretty high amount of exercise without T.

What exactly is your level of T? It can't be zero.

It was reported as <3 ng/dl.  So I took that to mean that it was below measurable levels.  Maybe not all the way to zero, but as close to it as can be measured.
