Title: Fast Redistribution while Fasting

From my understanding fatty acids constantly escape fat cells and are put back into fat cells via insulin, even in a fasting state.
So my question is, shouldn't body fat redistribute, even if I water fasted for like two weeks straight?
Insulin acts like a key that allows fatty acids and some glucose (for glycerol backbone of triglycerides formed within), to enter the fat cell. The cells near the hips and thighs have estrogen receptors. If I have sufficient estrogen it should fill those receptors, unlock it, and the insulin will then store the fat into those cells.
So the fat constantly leaves ALL cells and reenters those unlocked cells.. cells with more androgen receptors would be locked (due to lower levels of testosterone & free testosterone) and therefore fat would redistribute to the estrogen unlocked fat cells.
Btw, pancreas always puts out steady stream of insulin as well as the liver putting out steady stream of glucose.. (called basal insulin and fasting glucose).

Fat redistribution is really slow, so even if it happens I don't think you're going to notice two weeks worth no matter what happens. What happens afterward as you put fat back on would be very interesting, but I don't know the answer.

If you water fasted for two weeks I think you would be burning the majority of that fat and there would be little left to redistribute. It might work with intermittent daily fasting. I've been doing that for several months though and while I've lost fat I can't say any has redistributed.

I've been doing IF daily for over a year now. Not a huge difference, definitely not quick.

You're burning your fat that's stored, but the fat cell that fat is stored in expands with more fat, and shrinks with less and has a predetermined lifespan/lifecycle. It's not until it reaches the end of its lifecycle that it's going to pick up on the estrogen influences. Where it was in its lifecycle relative to the time you started Hormone therapy will determine how quickly changes happen; which is why some people redistribute faster than others.

Do you have a source for this by any chance? I'd like to read more about this. Will my fat cell not reach the end of its lifecycle until I lose all this excessive weight? (I'm obese).
