I know this is a little old but what Trump did was a good thing just like same sex marriage in the Supreme Court. Congress did not get involved because of the tenth amendment and now even if states don't issue marriage licenses they still have to recognize it because the Supreme Court deemed it constitutional. The same with the constitution and the second amendment about a well regulated Militia. There is not mention of tans or gays or lesbian or anything else. So eventually The Supreme Court will take it up and deem it more than likely constitutional that Trans serve openly.

I don't celebrate when I hear executive orders like when Obama signed that trans could openly serve. When the president signs and executive order it can be rescinded by the next president or deem constitutional or unconstitutional by the Supreme Court so why let those that we vote for every two or six years just skate by? The president is only president for four or eight years, the Supreme Court Justices have a lifetime appointment but the ones we actually do depend on to make the laws get away with not addressing the really hard issues. Obama addressed it and trump is putting it eventually in the Supreme Court's hands because apparently the Senate and the House don't want to address the issue. The law is a funny thing. Because it is all about constitutionality and it mainly pertains to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as the main issue. There is nothing within the constitution that bans LGBTs from serving in the military.

On a lighter note and kind of funny, I really wonder about the founding fathers in their tight Capris and the ruffles and such and the powdered wigs. :-\.

But I do try to tell everyone to let it play out and lawsuits are a really good way to go because eventually it will be taken higher because there is no precedent for it and Constitutionality becomes involved. What Trump did seems to suck but did it? Society is on our side now. Now people know that we serve so thanks Obama. Now we have sympathy from society so thanks Trump. I know it may sound stupid and like I am splitting the fence but there are three equal branches of government, but to me the legislative is more worried about their own job security than the American people period.

I am a Log Cabin Republican and yes it is a real group and Seth McFarland did not just make that up but I am actually a Libertarian and socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

But when it comes to politics, why do we keep giving people jobs that really don't represent us? Take John McCain. He has had "job security" for thirty some odd years. Ted Kennedy before he died about thirty years. I have been to Massachusetts and Arizona and I see no difference in trans rights in either state. And this may sound off the wall, where I see a difference is in acceptance from real normal people and I live in a red state and an area that is just about as redneck as you can get. This is where I live now and from my home state. People are changing their perceptions it isn't so much about the government telling them too but they are because their perceptions are expanding.

So let the trans ban play out and eventually the Supreme Court will get involved and deem it Constitutional because there is no where in the Constitution that bans MTFs or FTMs from serving.

Basically it is like the same sex marriage debate. Marriage made me miserable and I wish it would have been deemed unconstitutional for everyone, but marriage makes some people happy so that is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But there is and never was nothing that said within the confines of The United States Constitution that stated that Marriage was limited to a man with a penis and a woman with a vagina only. Oh it may say something like that in the Bible but that is not the US Constitution which is the ultimate law in the United States. As a matter of fact Freedom of Religion is a right and that includes all religions even religions in which man and woman may be defined differently outside of genetalia.

Sorry for the long post but it is hard to explain sometimes because it is complicated. If I was president and thank god I am not I may have done the same thing as Trump to force upon the Legislative Branch to do their jobs and if not them then the Judicial Branch to deem it Constitutional for that right to never be taken away again. But I don't see things as left or right either. I tend to see things more in the middle.
