Title: Dont judge every teenage boy!
Post by: SailorMars1994 on September 03, 2017, 02:20:12 PM
This is  just a short and sweet thread dedicated to some of the good guys! Typically these days we see teenagers and especially male teens who are not LGBT as typically insensitive or like to joke about trans identities  at best or being the few who will openly be rude at worst in the worst cases. However, There really are some awesome teenage boys who are good and will develop into good stable men.

There is a Teen boy who works at a Tim Hortons  here in Petawawa. He must be about 16 or 17. Ever sicne I started go there regualrly earilier this year he was been overly respectful to me. Even when my voice was not as nice as I have made it or it was clear I was in the transitioning process  months and months ago he has pronoun'd me properly each time. And since I have spent like 75% of my transitioning life here in Petawawa and being a small town, I am kinda ''famous'' here. People know. When I roll up to the window to get my coffee or whatever I will be greeting with a ''Its its going to be x amount of dollars Ms'' or after I grab whatever it is he will say ''Have a good day ma'am/ms''. He says it regualrly, not with a smirk or even a hystatic hello, just a regular busniess as usural manner. When I see him work he is a hard worker too.

His parents raised him right, he will be a good man.

Or you could just not pre-judge anyone ever and avoid the issue of generalization entirely.

Thank you for this, Ashley.  It is healthy to be reminded that most people are good.  The media may single out the bad people for extra attention, but the good people carry on being good in the background.

Exactly! There seems to be fear everywhere. We are to fear this or that, but people do forget we are not just groups of people/demographics, but individuals. Its important not to be Naive of course but good people exist and I just wanted to share an uplifting story :)

I agree. I have issues with men. I won't deny it, but those were caused by incidents in my past that I need to work through. Incidents I'm only just now beginning to remember. I know that my attitude is unreasonable and so I can put it aside, but it can be so, so hard!

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.
