Um...hi everyone. I'm really, really terrible at these...greeting things.  :D I normally don't step into introductions, since I usually don't know where to start. Buuuut I figured it wouldn't be so bad if I said hi to everyone first, right?

  I'm Laurie, Welcome to Susan's place. (Hug) Come on in and take a good look around. Tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and greet you properly.

Um...ok then. Let's see. I guess the first place to start off at is Sasha is the name I chose for myself because it kind of rolled around in my brain perfectly. I was searching for a name that really fit me and described who I really wanted to present myself as to the world. A name that matched my soul. It's not my birth name, but it is my name. I don't mind going by just Sasha or even Rose. Both are fine!

It's kind of funny. Throughout my years of "Deny it!--accept it!--deny it!--accept it!" about who I am, in my search for info, I stumbled past Susan's. I was always too scared to really step foot in. But here I am. Making an intro. Saying hi and toeing the waters.  :D

  Sasha is a pretty name as is Rose so you have chosen two pretty names. The names I chose are Laurie Jeanette and they are tributes to two girls I had a bit of a crush on in high school. They also allow me to keep my given name initials.
  I had a similar beginning as you did  but I had 5 sisters to borrow from. I cross dressed for the better part of 64 years. I tried to stop so many times I cannot remember. Eventually I conceded that I could not stop it and it was something I HAD to do. It caused me so much trouble and guilt in my life. I became an angry, insecure, unhappy old man until I found Susan's and other sites to find some good information about who and what I am. I began my transition last December when I started HRT and joined this great site and have made some wonderful friends here. And you can too.
