Just wondering if anyone knew if dr suporn has anymore openings in 2018? I sent the office a email haven't got a response. It sucks he's retiring in 2019, I just got all my funds together after 5years of saving and he was my #1 choice! I've heard if you've paid in full they will give you the first cancellation that comes available. Please someone give me some insight on this. It would be a total disappointment not to have surgery with him after all my hard work.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I only know about two doctors and neither is Suporn. I would suspect that Suporn is fully booked and there are already other lined up hoping for a hole to open. I have seen that some doctors have a schedule on their website where you can view openings so you might want to examine his website carefully for that. Other than that possibly a student trained by Supron or your second or third choice. Two year waits are not uncommon for most of the surgeons so good luck.

I didnt choose Suporn but he offered me a date within 3 months of my visit a couple of years ago. Personally, it just does not make sense to wait for an srs surgeon for over a year when the surgery is so standardized.. He over charges others by 70% and gets his price from mostly western clients. Asians and locals dont use him. Great marketing tho.

From what I've heard the Suporn Clinic often take a few days to reply to emails.
There's a lot of people watching for cancellations, and some use web page monitoring services looking for changes on the schedule page so they can send off a request immediately. I've heard someone automate it more than that, sending off an email automatically when there's a cancellation. Some just make it their home page for their browser.
The schedule will open up eventually, but who knows if you'll get Dr Suporn or Dr Bank. I've heard that Dr Bank is probably very good, but its still too early to tell for sure. If you do book and get Dr Bank you will have the option of cancelling without cost until about 6 weeks before the surgery (I think), so you could just book when you get the chance and decide if you really want him later when there's more info available.

I have a date in 2019 with Dr Suporn but I noticed they have released any new dates for a while. Is that because Dr Suporn is retiring at that point?

Your right just not a clear answer. I hope I can get a 2019 date as well with him. If not I'll just go with a different doctor. Brassard is my second choice but prefer Suporn and wouldn't mind a year wait. But who knows...???

If you keep a close watch on the schedule you'll get a date in 2019. Judging by the past they go quickly, but not instantly. The only question will be who the surgeon is.

On Suporn's website it says that he will be doing less and less surgeries over 2019 until 2020 by which he will no longer be doing any new surgeries.
It looks like he will, however, continue to do some of the revisions. All "primary" surgeries will be done by the Suporn team and I have total faith in them.
The Suporn team won't even be doing the surgeries to begin with, even on the dates it says they are, they will only be observing Dr Suporn and slowly doing a little bit more and more over time.
He takes a lot of pride in his work and he will not leave the Suporn team unsupervised until he has total confidence in them. And he will still be working at his clinic, he won't just disappear.
After reading the clinic's website and thinking about it I'm sure if I had the time off available and funds ready I'd have booked with them myself and tried to have the surgery next year instead of 2019.

They have changed they way they take bookings this week. It's now a lottery rather than whoever gets their email in first.
