Title: Has Anyone had the"Drawstring Technique" Surgery?
Post by: Ryuichi13 on October 28, 2017, 12:27:31 AM
I want a specific type of top surgery for my D-cup chest.  Its called "drawstring" surgery, and from what I've researched so far, its for larger-chested men so we can keep our nipple nerves intact without cutting through them .

From what research I've done so far, its a  relatively new technique.

Has anyone had this surgery?  If so, mind talking about it?  Did you need drains?  If so, for how long?  What was the scarring like?  Did you lose any sensation, and if so, for how long?

I also read that the nerves are bunched under the skin.  How does that make your chest feel post-surgery?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but this is what I thought of off the top of my head.

Thanks in advance for answering these questions. ☺

I cannot say for sure that my husband had this particular technique that you describe because I haven't heard it be called the drawstring technique but I think the type of top surgery he had was pretty similar to what your describing. When I did a google search on "drawstring" top surgery all I find that comes up is the keyhole/peri aereola and his surgeon did a strange mixture of both double incision and keyhole which it also says leaves your nipple nerves intact. He did have to have drains. But he actually had a fairly smaller chest more like B cup sized so he didn't have them but for only a week. I'm not sure about the scarring and nerves bunching under the skin but you're giving me a bit of insight to what's going on with him. I just recently posted in the Top surgery recovery thread about some concerns and happenings he's been havin with his recovery (surgery was a month and a half ago). And since it's been so soon I can't really tell but he's got another follow up on the 31st so I can let you know what the doctor says about our questions!

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
