Title: HRT in northern michigan?
Post by: MariaCampbell on November 08, 2017, 12:05:15 PM
Hello, i'm new here... I'm a MtF who was been wanting to get on HRT for quite a while now, but i've encountered a problem or two. First of all, I have no idea which therapists wherever would prescribe HRT to me. I live in/around Traverse city, Michigan, and i'd like to go to a therapist as close to home as possible. I would tell my parents or friends, but like, 90% of them are transphobic and i'm afraid to come out to them anyway. Could anyone give me some advice on where to go/what to do? Thank you. I'd like to get on it as soon as possible. I've been dealing with dysphoria my whole life, and it really hurts.

Maria,

Just call Trans Lifeline at (877) 565-8860 for US, and I think they will point you to the right direction for help. Good luck

  Hi Maria

I'm Laurie, I see that you are new here. So please let me say, Welcome To Susan's Place! Come on in and take a good look around.  Perhaps I can even get you to hop on over to the Introductions (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,8.0.html) Thread and  create a post to tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and greet you properly.

Also I'll add some links and information below that can help you get more out of our site. Please take time to become familiar with them especially the RED one as we are always getting questions that are answered there.

if you are in Michigan check out the Transgender Michigan website.  They have a list of medical providers in the state.  This is where I started when I wanted to find an Endo

they have a list of mental health care providers as well
