Hello everyone,
I have been a lurker here on the forum for some time now, and thought I should finally introduce myself and become a part of the community. My name is Brandi, and I am a 48 yr old Transgender Woman. I have been in therapy and just last week received my letters from my psychiatrist to legally have my name changed, and also a referall to an endocrinologist to begin HRT. I am really hoping this will happen by January!
My experiences so far have been mostly great, I am very lucky that my family is accepting of me as are most of my friends. I have been attending my therapy sessions as Brandi, and have just finished my 19th session of electrolysis. I am living as fulltime as I can since August but it's hard while having my beard removed, so really that becomes about 2 days a week for now. Looking forward to interacting with others, learning and helping if I can.

Hi Brandi, welcome, and thank you for stepping out of the shadows so we can give you a big hello hug!
I'm Megan, a 40 y/o trans-woman in the UK. I've been out and living full-time for about 7 months now [emoji5]
I visited your fair city back in 1998, it was very nice.
We don't bite (much), so please join in the conversations and enjoy! X

Thank you everyone for the welcome!
Megan, I visit the UK a few times a year, staying in Gravesend in Kent. I am over in January, looking forward to it.

Hi Brandi,
I'm Laurie and just wanted to say hi and welcome to you also. From what you have told us you are well on your way with family support and therapy. Those two things are invaluable to help you get through the process we all go through in order to become that person we are inside. From what I see you are doing great.
Hugs,
Laurie
