Title: Question for those on the other side of the coin
Post by: HappyMoni on December 02, 2017, 05:18:21 PM
It seems like I have noticed a lot of good exchanges between F to M and M to F people recently. I am very happy to see this. I have wished that I had more dialog with the guys on the site at times. I like learning about what life is like on the other side of the moon, so to speak. So in that spirit, I have a question. Could someone explain what it is like to use a packer. I hear the term a lot, but I have no idea how beneficial or effective it is. I guess I am not looking as much for the dictionary definition as much as a more personal thought process. "Is  it good or lame or a help or hindrance with dysphoria?"  Hope this isn't a weird question.

I'll never forget this thread from 2012, it answers your question, and it's just a fun read:  Packer Malfunction  (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,132113.0.html)

I don't use one, wasn't necessary for me to deal with dysphoria, I do all my dealing via dissociation. Having something there can produce positive state of mind though. Sensation of something there is usually good in the beginning; when it becomes routine its more of a hindrance when you are dealing with an item that is not your own skin or has your own sense of feeling in it, and is cumbersome. Surgery is the ideal for most I guess.

I'm not bothered. Am looking into surgery but packers just an inconvenience/expense. If I can be less swampy I might as well enjoy it while I can.

I love that thread, especially the part with the dog. I really should seek out my own breast form dropping incident so I can relate better. It's nice to see you were causing trouble way back then, Devlyn.

I've never found much satisfaction in having 'not my own skin' items either Viktor.

It's a very loving feeling using a packer inside the person you love, and is an expulsion of energy out from within yourself, into the person you're having sexual intercourse with. There are intense bouts of euphoria, followed by a relieving release. It's much different than receiving a packer, that's for sure. That's an entirely different experience. Personally, I prefer them both depending on my mood.
