I can totally agree with this!!!! I went to ER for an issue in my urinary system. I shared with them the drugs I was taking and they were like why are you on E. So I explained to them I was trans. The nurses were really confused by this, but the doctor knew totally what that meant. One nurse even asked me if I might be pregnant. It was like "um no not possible, yet." So yes we need more trained doctors for our specific issues, surgeries, and all of it. Some places are better than others. Like for instance Mississippi where I was it is kind of dead spot for transgenders. Not many trained psychologist, doctors, or people to tell you about name changes and other things. They are not progressive as far as making things easier either. Yes, we need more people trained on all fronts to help us transition easier.
