Title: Boob growth on HRT

Hi everyone :),
So I've decided at some point next year (hopefully during the first 6 months), I will start on hormones, privately (I will be put on the gender clinic waiting list after my psychologist appointment in January).
I just wanted to know, how long will it take my boobs to grow, is there a certain period whether they're expected to be noticeable? Is it different for every person? I'm basically trying to gauge when my boobs will grow enough to be noticed by other people, so then I can start living full time. Any replies are appreciated :)

I'm approaching 6 months on HRT, I'm probably a good A cup, but I still had quite a bit of skin/fat there from my overweight days. The rate of growth and final size really vary widely. All the women in my family are quite 'busty', though not huge.
From day 1 of my RLE, I used breastforms; clothes fit better, and it's the most obvious sign for people to know how to gender you.
I've worn a 40B bra since the start, over the last 6 months I've reduced the size of my forms as I've grown, and I'm now down to small fillets.

Genetics definitely play a part as does age. I had people notice within the first three months. Then it got cool enough to wear a hoodie, stylish though, and now nobody notices. I'm about an a cup now at 5 months. What people will notice though is erect nipples and you'll get those fairly quickly.

Well from reading all the posts on here you will start getting boob pain about a month in so you get some kind of growth then. Then from again other posts 3 months or so you really have some development going. Again like the others said there is no definite timeline we can say when you will start or how large. We just ignore the ones like Tara because most of us get implants to go larger. Normal growth is all dependent on genetics and fat on you.

Everyone is different.
However, most people feel growth starting within the first month on E. At that point, I started wearing a sports bra when walking or working, just to protect them. They were *very* sensitive!
By three months, I was not able to wear T-shirts without presenting a suspiciously female form. By that time, I was wearing the sports bra any time I was out in public, for concealment.
At three months, I went full-time, so I switched from a compression-type sports bra to a padded bra for vanity.
At 11 months, I am still not a AA. :( They say that breast growth does not stop until about three years. While I can still feel the tingling that indicates growth, it is pretty darned slow growth, vanishingly close to zero. My bust measurement has not changed at all since before HRT. I was 38.5" before; I am still 38.5". I guess the breast tissue growth was exactly matched by loss of fat and muscle. The shape is much nicer now, though.

I'm probably an A or lower after 5 months. Everyone is different, but look at the women in your family for clues.

J Sex Reprod Med Vol 1 No 1 Summer 2001
"The breast, nipple, and areola develop just as during female puberty, taking usually three to six years. Body weight and genetic predisposition affect the final breast size."
Journal of the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, Vol. 4, No. 4, 2000
"Although most breast development occurs in the first 1–2 years of hormonal therapy, 4–6 years may be required for full maturation (31)."
Clin Endocrinol (Oxf). 1982 Apr;16(4):359-68.
"The average time period from the appearance of breast buds to full maturation of the breast has been found to be 4.5+2 years (Marshall & Tanner, 1969)."
Arch Dis Child. 1969 Jun; 44(235): 291–303.
It can take between 1 to up to 9 yrs in cisgirls to go from the bud stage of breast development to the very last stage, based on findings from this study.
"The interval from the first sign of puberty to complete maturity varied from 1.5 years to over 6 years. The bud stage of breast development persisted for between 6 months and 2 years before further change took place."

I did not feel much difference in my breasts until the three month mark. They started hurting and got pointy at three months, hit a small 36B near the six month mark and are large B's or small C's at eighteen months.......but as has been said, everyone is different.

Every one has their own boob growth stories, but typically 50% after one year of HRT, 80 % after 2 years and full growth after 3 years.

Hey! Don't ignore me, my experience counts, lol! JK. Besides genetics, my pre hrt boney ass gained some weight after being on hrt. Weight can do wonders for filling lady curves out once hormone levels are in the right range.

I'm at the 5 month point and in the last couple of weeks everything kinda intensified. Extra itchy, extra achy. I'm always brushing up against something, they have "plumped" up some. A 36 B fits me now. What I thought might be bruising may be vessels growing under my areolae.

While im not on hrt i thought i would share my expreance here. I have been on steroids for around 20 years and that can turn t into e as a side effect. I fill a 42/44 b cup fully.. ive actually started to wear a compression vest while im at work to hide them as ive started to loose weight but not from there. God knows what would happen if i go on hrt
