Title: Facial hair growth is so slow for me

So I am almost 2 months on T and I am A little jealous of my friend who is also 2 months on T who has more facial hair than me right now. I already had hair on my lip pre T but I expected it to be quicker than that, it's gotten darker that's about it but this dude almost has a whole bunch of hair on the sides of his face and everything and it's quite annoying besides my voice dropping and my face squaring out a bit more facial hair was the one thing I was hoping to grow quickly.

I think seeing ftms on social media has created this unrealistic expectation that you're going to look super manly on T within a short space of time. It's a minority of people that have this genetic luck.
Two years on T (always been on the correct dosage) and finally my mustache is becoming less like peach fuzz and I'm starting to get chin scruff. There's this ftm you tuber who didn't start growing facial hair until 3 years on T.

It's only annoying because everything else getting more hairy, like my arms and everything, like if you stand kind of close to me it's definately noticeable, the girls at my job told me it's getting darker, even my voice has dropped a tiny bit, I know I more than likely won't have a full on beard right now but the lip hairs I wish would grow faster.

Wont shaving it aggressively cause it to come in thicker each time?
Can you have my facial hair? Better have a stack of mach3's ready. Mines going the way of laser so don't know if I will still be able to share?
Wouldnt it be great if a mtf and ftm could find each other and trade dna and hormones like a blood transfusion?

Facial hair is one of those changes that takes a LONG time for most people unfortunately! Some guys are lucky, but for most of us it takes years. I have been moving at probably "middle of the road" speed with my facial hair. It took maybe 3 months to notice hairs, and at 3 years 3 months right now I'm able to grow almost the full beard, still waiting for my cheeks to thicken up because they're thin now. My dad grows facial hair well. I can barely grow the mustache, it's almost all chin/jaw/cheeks. Most of this came in after the 2 year mark. I have a friend who is closing in on 2 years and he just has wisps all over. It's enough to notice but not enough to grow anything. His dad struggles with anything except sideburns. It's super dependant on genetics. Out of all the changes I've seen, I think facial hair is the one that varies so widely for us. It'll come in time!

At almost 20 months all I have is some pathetic sideburns.

I used minoxidil foam for 2 months and it sped the terminal hair growth process up massively. It's basically all there now apart from a small bit still coming in around the lower edges of my mouth. Maybe that would work for you.

facial hair was one of the slower changes i experienced. i had side burns then along my jawline came in after my sideburns started to thicken/get more hair. i'm now coming on 4 years on T and my facial hair is very dark and decent (where i would have to shave every couple days if i wanted to be clean shaven) but it still isn't all filled in on my cheeks like i wish. it was also one of those things i hoped would come in decently because of my genetics (every male in my family can grow a full, thick beard on both sides of my family). i would give it time. your voice hasn't even fully dropped yet so facial hair will definitely be one of those things that take awhile. i know being on T you can get impatient with the changes and i know how it is to see others who start the same time as you or even after or before and their changes be very different from yours at the same point (eg. someone having a lot of facial hair at 6 months while you had none at 6 months). just try to remember everyone is different with their changes.

I wouldn't have expected any facial hair growth at 2 months. I'm at 8 months and I have what I consider darker peach fuzz because it's long but not beard like at all. My boyfriend had a full beard at 6 months. But I'm getting hair on my hands and all over my stomach etc. It depends on your genes and whether you use anything to speed it up e.g. minoxidil. 2 months is nothing though, I'd give it two years before you start getting annoying if nothings coming in. You're essentially going through male puberty, you don't see 14 year olds with full beards after 2 months of puberty eh?

Kids are hitting puberty way quicker now a days you would be surprised I knew a couple freshman with full on beards when I was a senior in highschool, even my cousin was a about 15 with a full on beard and I was reffering to the hair on my lip, it's coming in but it's just slow.

I lied lol, I just looked in the mirror and there is way more hair on the sides of my face and I also have some chin hairs coming in. So it's working.

Facial hair is genetic too.
Idk if the men in your family are hairy, but the guys in mines are with the exception of one of my older brothers.
Facial hair was the first thing I noticed and I been on T almost 4 months.
I started getting a dark upper lip 2 months in.
Which I liked, but still frustrated I sound like a girl..

Growing facial hair took a very long time for me. During the first 2 months I had absolutely nothing (except from the little bit of sideburn fuzz I had since pre-T). I never used minoxidil, but here's an approximate timeline for my beard:
*At around 5-6 months on T: I started getting a little bit on my chin and sideburns, but not enough to grow it out successfully. It also grew extremely slowly.
*At around 1 year: I got more under my chin and down my neck.
*At around 1,5 or 2 years on T: I had enough to save out a decent goatee, sideburns and along my jawline, but not cheeks or mustache.
*At 3 years on T: my mustache finally started to come in and my cheeks filled in a bit too.
*At 3,5 years on T: I could finally have a full beard with a low cheek line. Most hairs are dark brown, thick and unevenly curly, but about 10% or so are light blonde, for some reason, so I dye it. (My head hair and other body hair's natural colour is dark brown).
The beard situation hasn't changed much since then for me, now at 4,5 years on T, but I occasionally still keep getting random new stray hairs here and there. I have good genes for facial hair in my family (lots of bearded men on both mother's and father's side), which I know is an important factor to consider as well. Facial hair was the slowest change for me as well, along with chest hair. I never got much of any arm hair though. But I had already gotten all other changes by the time my facial hair started coming around.

Idk it's like they are kind of hairy but also not at the same time, so like I said I notice it especially in certain mirrors and like the textures of it feels more coarse. Now my voice on the other hand is pretty deep but I have only had cracks so far and I thank God that almost 2 months on T I can still sing and have a lot of control over my voice.

Now see my arms and legs have gotten pretty hairy and that happened within weeks of starting

as I recall my puberty years ... facial hair was the last and slowest to fill in. I never had a thick beard. It was after 50 before I could grow one that could be called a beard. Chest, back, legs, couple areas on the arms .. yup, face, nope.
Now I want it all gone .. go figure.

I had low T growing up, even going on supplemental T my beard sucked (funny now it is getting zapped off) I found rogaine way back when (ancient times pre-cell phones in every hand) It helped the fine hairs go thick and dark (terminal) Also scrubbing helps with a soft brush, ingrown hairs sucked. Costco has a great price on minoxidil. I hope I was not inappropriate weighing in. Good luck with the beard sir!
