Title: Tipping for Electrolysis Technician

Thought I would get a few of opinions on this subject. I have had three laser sessions and about 6 hours of electrolysis but have never thought to leave a tip for the technician. The laser is done in a doctor's office so I don't really feel the need there. But the Electrolysis is done in a hair removal salon, but they also do make-up, massage, they have some esthetician in the salon also . I have not yet tipped and honestly at $115 hr and possible hundreds of hours I don't feel it is necessary .
Anyone have any thoughts on this ? what have your experiences been?
Thanks
Paige

My electrologist works out of a salon too, but doesn't charge nearly as much. At my first visit I tipped her. She thanked me and said that since I'm going to be a regular for a long time to come, she doesn't want me to tip each visit. I go once or twice a week and she hasn't accepted a tip from me in 4 months.

My electrology center employs technicians that work for a wage. I tip them occasionally and they seem appreciative.

I'd say no tip is necessary as my electrologist charges only $60 bucks an hour. I add 20% and I still only pay 2/3 what you do. Please don't check the math but it's pretty close. My ladies are so nice, I have also received their friendship for the rest of my life.

I don't normally tip my electrologist. But I did give her a nice Christmas card with some theatre tickets in it on my last session before Christmas.

I've tipped for laser everytime and I've had like 3 different ppl. The first place i went to the first person left. Then I worked with someone else and we clicked so I was like lemme tip her which I was like really generous. Anyway it's whatever she was starting college I'm sure it'll help her buy a book or pay for some winter clothes.
I'm not trying to sound stuck up or like a snob. I work hard for my money, at my job, but lately when I've gotten service that doesn't turn out the way I want it to I just try to let it go. I know I'm not donating my money really because I'm supposed to be getting a service but I think of it as charity. I'm helping out the economy by throwing my money away! Lol

Tipping is not done in Australia as a normal practice. People are supposed to be paid a wage that is enough for a living however at $180 per hour there is no way she will be getting a tip from me unless its something like
"Steam rollers don't roll steam and battered fish aren't flat".... ;D

Mine charges $55 an hour. I tipped her $5 on my first visit and then after that she refused to take a tip the couple times I offered so I don't offer anymore
