hi every one :D....
this is such a wonderful forum. im really happy to join. i have been reading here for a while and have found the members kind and knowledgeable. i knew that something was wrong at age 2, when in preschool, a girl came out of the bathroom needing help.... her pants were down and i thought .... why doesnt mine look like that. at age 4 my mom would ask what i wanted to be when i grew up..." a police man?"... "a firefighter?"... "an astronaut?"... "mom... i want to be a girl." i too have bought and purged... many times. when i turned 30 i said to myself that it was time to change for good and let "her" go.. enough being silly..... now after turning 37 i have made peace with myself... i have accepted that i have always been a girl on the inside.... one of the hardest things for me was God. i had always felt peace with God with the girl part of myself... i had always felt that i was a girl in a boy body on purpose...i never felt that god made a mistake, but i had a hard time with his word... i recently found gendertree.com and that has made all the difference for me. im not sure at this time how far i "need" to go.... im just happy to be "home".

Hello, Beth, and welcome to Susan's!
I am happy for you, that you have found peace within yourself and with your Creator. For some of us that is a lifetime quest and for some it never ceases.
These forums are a wonderful place to learn about yourself while learning about others. Please feel free to share as it is a two-way street, so to speak.
Me, I am 56 and it took me from age 5, when I knew something was quite wrong, to age 51 to do something about it. I am pre-op F-to-F, and I hope to be having my surgery next June.
Take your time and enjoy your time here.

Hi Beth,
I'm happy to hear you're at peace. God does not make mistakes and accepting yourself puts you that much closer to God.
Welcome to Susans, and welcome home.
