Title: Male, female, me

I am starting a long planned journey to become me. All my life, now I am 28, I never liked gender roles and felt as a weirdo, because I just loved to be with other people. Since I grew up in a small town, there was always some kind of homophobia and transfobia present. In public I just had dates and relationships with "women". When I spend a year abroad I finally could go out with "men" without fear. It took me some more time to get out of my closet with my bisexuality, but now I have an environment which allows me to just be myself. For the last half of my life I felt somehow in between male and female. That's my issue since a long time, because I really don't feel comfortable with some of my body parts. I would like to become more me and for the first time I have a relationship where I feel save to open up about it. In short: I am a "man" willing to be a "man" with a "vagina". I would like to hear some similar experiences or open minded opinions.

Hi Holis,
Welcome glad to see you here, I also started when I was 28 :D. I hope you can find what you're looking for I do think you may have some challenges ahead for you though as most doctors that perform GRS have a requirement of at least 1 year on HRT and living fully transitioned and also require 2 letters of recommendations from Dr's.

I know it won't be easy, because I don't really fit in the typical male/female category. I definitely don't want to transition completely and I'm not willing to undergo a hormone therapy. I see that most surgeons would have their reservation and restrictions, but I want to find a way. Therefore I want to inform myself about different policies and legislations concerning surgery and requirements.

Hi Holis, welcome to Susan's Place! It's certainly possible to get what you want regardless of your identity. You need to find an open minded provider and also understand that insurance regulations dictate the rules the providers follow. You may have to pay your own way, but you should be able to find someone who understands your desire for a surgical outcome without HRT.
See you around the site!
Hugs, Devlyn

Hi my name is Alison Mail to female I cannot wait to get out of this body to become female I always felt different I am older now so I talked to some plastic surgeon and I found the ones I like I am not waiting for HRT I found out on line the proper dosage of hormones to take and mail hormone blockers to take. I want to get into office work so I can were nice clothing my old jobs were stock clerk warehouse clerk shipping receiving. I just don't see myself want to working in those positions I would be limited on what I could were. But it is so hard to change your work history around so someone would give you a chance in a new profession. Does anyone have any idea? I would say to any one go for whatever makes you happy I am hoping to find a nice man.

Hola, Hollis!
Perhaps you may be genderfluid? Or just non-binary? Either way, I think it's safe to say that we ALL welcome you to the forum. Hopefully you figure things out a little more, and maybe find some enlightenment along the way.
Sincerely,
FleurGirl xo

I considered just having SRS and staying male before deciding on transitioning to female. Main thing was that I like gay men, they're safe/I know what to expect. But for me that's not addressing the gender dysphoria.
Anyway I share this to say that I get you and as Devlyn mentioned a doctor that understands is out there. Just gotta find that person to help you out.

Welcome Hollis. The great news is there are many more resources today then when I was your age. Take is slow, do your research and at the end of the day just be you.
