Hi guys.
After the whole ordeal I wrote about earlier I'm still at the hospital.
I had a second operation to correct internal bleeding on wednesday. On Friday I came up with swelling and a fever (39 degrees C).
The surgeon will probably send me home tomorrow. I'm kind of worried anout that. I will be staying with someone who will look after me.
Have any of you experienced this? How did you deal with it?
If any of you are willing, I would like to chat with someone who had complications and/or a difficult recovery/long stay in the hospital.
Rowan

That is rather warm and I suggest you discuss this with your doctor. If your temperature isn't dropping by tomorrow, it might be a good idea to remain in the hospital longer. In addition, you might also need antibiotics as this sounds like you might have developed an infection.
If you are discharged, monitor your temperature several times a day and if it remains high, get medical help as soon as possible.

Thanks Dena.
The surgeon/doctors know about it. They think it's a normal reaction to the swelling. I will make sure to observe how it goes from here.
If anybody had a similar experience let me know too.

I asked the nurse to take my temperature again and it was down to 37.3.
Will keep an eye on it. :)

Oh, was thinking you were a ghost with a temp that low but realized you're in Holland where everything is cold. Get well.

How are you doing now? Did you go home as scheduled?

Thanks for your concern :)
Yeah I got out of the hospital and am staying with family. Heading home on Friday.
In the end I had fever for about 5-6 days but nothing bad.
Developed a "gap" along the incision line with the nipple sort of hanging forward, rather disgusting but the surgeon said it will eventually close. The tissue underneath appears to be healthy.
So I just need a ton of patience and she said eventually it will readjust and look like the other side. I'll upload a photo around that time.

Thanks! :)
The fever went away after about a week. It went up and down but never higher than 39C.
The gap along the incision line is healing, it filled up with new tissue, no new complications :) My nip looks off compared to the other one, but I am thinking it can be fixed later on with tattooing.
