Title: Those days you just want to give up and cry
Post by: CallMeKatie on January 24, 2018, 04:01:16 PM
So my online GP is a bust. It's a legitimate service but the very second I asked what the cost would be I found my email address blocked.
To be clear, I just enquired as I think is a fair thing to do when asking about a service.
To make sure, I made a bogus account for a new person and sure enough the replies came in fast when I mentioned I want to go on hormones asap regardless of cost.

Oh well.

So, I have applied today for three doctors in my area, the first two called me back saying I am out of their range and the third said I am in their range and I would need to go in to sign the forms I completed online and then they need to see me to finalise my doctor transfer. ..in March.

I asked if they could do it sooner but they said they can't.
The receptionist was really rude, acting as if I was an idiot because I don't know my blood pressure over a phone call.

I feel like giving up, just saying "I'll live as a guy as this is too much hassle"
I know I can't do that.

Are ALL doctors this unpleasant or is it just the ones near me?!

I think a large number of people who have a degree of control over other people are unpleasant, to an extent. Not just medical professionals. Control freakery is rife. Certainly people I've had dealings with.

*hugs*

A couple of months is nothing compared to the rest of your life, hon. :)

Next time you speak to that receptionist, as if they know their blood pressure. ;) No, probably best not to do that, lol.

All my doctors are very supportive.  I'm in N. California, in a fairly liberal area, so.....
