Does anyone feel like there boobs have stopped growing? I feel this way sometimes. When I first started HRT things where going great. Within a week my nipples started to hurt, every month there was some progress. But it seems like they don't grow at all now. I'm just wondering if others have felt this way too, and if there was a happy ending.

That is very common, so don't worry. Your body will take rests and have different growth spurts. Every single person I know this has been true and they all worried that their breasts stopped growing. Your body is going through a lot of changes, and it might not work on all of the parts at the same time. This happens in natal women as well during puberty.

You do realize that breasts are a half sphere.
2 * R exp 3 is the volume of this half sphere.
so you've got 2.1 * Radius exp 3 = volume of half sphere
Say at 3 months, your breast have a radius of 1 inch, at 12 month 2 inch, at 24 month 3 inch.
3 inch radius is about a C cup.
The breast tissue would be at 3 months = 2.1, 12 month = 16.8, 24 months = 56.7
While the 3 month to 12 month rythm keeps with the 0 to 3 month,
if you kept with the same rythm in 12-24 months, you wouldn't have 56.7 at 24 months
but... 33.6!!
So, your breast would have grown at the same
speed but not reached close to C cup even 12 month later.
The projection would only have increased 0.35 inch ((33.6/2) exp 1/3),
yet your breast will have grown just as much as before.
That would put you a bit tight in your B cup but not yet ready for C.
Since, its a much bigger envelloppe, there's also less likelyhood of tightness
in the breast so you don't feel it growing in the same way
(though, you may feel transitory pain).
The bigger the breast is, more tissue it needs to increase visual size.

all you girls that have started hrt are lucky, i wish i could, but don't really know who to talk to about it around here so i could get mine to grow...lol. i feel a nice b cup for my toothpick figure would be nice, but from the family genetics i see in my estranged sisters, i would possibly end up much bigger without wanting to be...lol

Thanks everyone, I just wanted to here some supportive words. I found it hard to understand the math stuff but I got it when I read the bottom part. It's just embarrassing sometimes to be small

Well, look at it this way: at least you have breasts, even if they are not as big as you would like them to be.

Mine were the same way. VERY quick initial progress, followed by scary rapid development for five months or so.... to the point I found myself saying, "I wish I could transfer all this development from my breasts to my face!"
Yea, well, Thy Wish Was Granted. My breasts basically stopped, and my face morphed instead from the on. Which IS faaaar more important to me, but still...
I DO get the whole "filling in a greater volume" thing, and they ARE slowly expanding in volume and width. But cosmetically, in terms of how it looks in clothing, nothing has changed since that initial burst of development. I'm probably only around a Near-A.
I've heard it takes up to six years for breasts to really mature though, so I hope we'll do well in the end ;)

Kate, as I said also elsewhere, you have to realize also that you had a lot more
pect initially than now, so even if you have more breast tissue, you can have less
"breast" in a sense of filling the cup.
I went from 38B to 34C, so I've got less "breast" but more breast (because initially I had mostly muscle with fat and breast tissue on top. My whole body has shrunk. I had trouble fitting in medium blouses and now I'm heading for small!!
Most women have very very small pects compared to men, so they don't really figure in
the breast's size and that's why FTM have such flat chest unless they trained hard prior
to mastectomy.

I haven't showed my boobs to anyone, I'm kinda self-conscious. But I have only been on HRT for 7months so I'm still kinda early in physical changes. But I do have boobs they just aren't the size I would like them to be, I think they are around an smaller A-cup. It's important to me because the rest of my body is quite feminine, I just don't have big boobs and I feel like I'm out of proportion. Sorry everyone I know I'm such a girl we always worry about our boobs.

No. After 6 months they are still growing, though much slower then the first 3 months. I am a 36 A, and a full A at that. In reality I am closer to a near B at this point as A size bras are now too small. I am still flat by all means but for my frame, I really do not want to be much more then a B.
With that being said, you look fantastic. I am actually really jealous how good your face looks after 7 months. So everybody ends up blessed in different ways.

I started HRT in 2000, went to a size B when I went for surgery in 04. After surgery they kind of took a growth spurt and now I'm a C cup. I feel they haven't stopped as they tend to be a little sore now. I maybe on another growth spurt. I had to get new bras about 6 months ago. My estrogen was low and the doctor wants to up it a little. I'm on the highest ofthe patches. I'm thinking about it but don't know.

Greetings,
I have been back on HRT fulltime only for the last year and all I can say is that development has gone in spurts. What I have noticed is that they go through spurts of growing out and then thing slow down as they fill out. Not sure about other girls, but I had B cups within four months of HRT...perhaps not a full as I would have liked but B cups just the same. Things have slowed down and after a year on HRT I'm up to a full C...
I wouldn't worry too much about it, it takes genetic females years to fully develop their breasts so you just need to give is some time...
Peace and love,
Izzy

Usually within 2-years you will reach your full potential in terms of breast growth...they will continue to grow slightly for a while after that, but the grown isn't all that much...but different people have different experiences...so your mileage may vary.

I know. I've been on mones for almost four years. My breasts have stopped growing; I'm a large B cup (see avatar piccie) and I don't want them to get bigger. They are alright for my body contexture & look very proportional. That's what I've always wanted. ;)

That says it best! It's not really about how big they are, but rather how they look for your build. I was happy with B cups myself, but since growing into C cups I can't complain and they still look proportional for my build too. I think too often people obsess over size and loss sight of the 'total' look concept.

Ya, I have heard some girls get B-cups within months some bigger. Thats not happening to me...I have always been kinda skinny but since Transing I eat as much as I can to gain weight. That hasn't happened either I was 118 pounds when I went on HRT and 7 months later I'm only 119 pounds at 5-3 in height. And I eat like a pig usually every 2 hours, but I think things are just moving around in proportion. Rather than everything going to my chest it's going to my ass and lower tummy and legs as well. It's hard for me because I pass so well that I'm worried my lack of larger breasts may give me away. I'm going to see how things are in the summer it will have been 1 year on HRT then and I can get a better idea of how my future will be. I really don't want to have to get implants but I will do it if I have no choice.

Jessica,
There are many factors that can affect breast development, with one of them being genetics. Do you have any female siblings that are older or fully developed?? They will give you an idea of what you might be able to expect. Don't get discouraged, it can take a while for things to develop and for your size I think B cups would look right for your build...
Also, look at all the woman out there in the world...there are all shapes and sizes when it comes to breasts...breasts don't make the girl either. Based on your picture I would think you shouldn't have any problems passing regardless of breast size...believe me I think just about everyone here can relate to your desire for breasts...but there is so much more to being a woman than that...
Peace and love,
Izzy

I've got a computer engineering degree, a graduate diploma in management, another in project management, and now almost a graduate diploma in public relations (all are masters level diploma (like a masters without the thesis)
I've also was 2 years in pure physics (prior to engineering).
Plus much (12 years) of international work, 3 of which were spent in San-Francisco bay area.
Still, I'm as messed up as anyone, or maybe more ;-).
If life was as easy as taking courses or degrees, it would be a cinch HAHA

I'm still dreading just getting out of tech college and going to a university, but some people say universities are easier than tech colleges nowadays... pharmacy, one day^_^

The engineering degree (4 years) and physics (2 years) was full time
and university is dirt cheap for Quebec residents (You must be a citizen or a landed immigrant (resident) to have the good rate). At that time, it was about $400 per year. Now, its $2800
for a full time student (5 courses), still not that expensive.
I don't know if universities are easier. In engineering schools its MUCH harder,
especially computer engineering which I think is the hardest with physics.
When I did it, the average GPA of the first year students was 2.4 in the first years
and everybody was depressed about their horrible grades. The class
average in a math course was 8/20 !! You had a A with a 13/20 (they reformed
the course completely after that because so many people complained).
The easiest engineering degree I think is INDUSTRIAL (basically process ingeneering) and CIVIL.

That's totally amazing. No way you could get one course a year here for that. But I worked my butt off and came out of my education debt free. That includes B.S., Masters and Doctorate. Yes, it can be done.
I'll have well educated boobs, anyway. Let's see, how many semester hours per cubic inch would that be........

And this is why sometimes I consider moving to Quebec rather than Vancouver -- cheaper schools. Alberta is way over priced! You don't want to know how much our schools cost and how the AB government is a scrooge when it comes to student loans... I know way to many people who end up leaving school because they can't afford it, they get hardly a dime from student loans, and rack up bank debt, etc, etc.
Besides, it will be like going back to my family routes. My family settled in Quebec in 1642 -- now if only I knew that side of the family better, 'cause I like the idea of staying at an Estate while going to school, etc. On my Dad's side I have a grandma and uncles and aunts and cousins. I don't know any of them, although I talked to Grandma once long, long ago. On my mom's side, my Uncle and Aunt are there along with two nieces, and I talk to them sometimes.
Oh, wait, I'm hijacking the topic!
Back to topic...
You wanna know what's really weird and what really sux -- recently it's been looking like my breasts have been shrinking. Now, that's a freak out! But at the same time, my body has been changing like mad and is doing wonky stuff.

Probably looks like their shrinking because of muscle loss.
Its probable that your band size is also shrinking.

I was at the Bay on the weekend and was looking at undergarments with a friend I saw the nicest bra and panties in purple satin and black lace and it was on sale...but I'm just to small to buy bras right now. Hi Kristi
Well I've been eight years on the hormones and there were times when I didn't feel any growth then it would resume again a couple moths later. I had tissue growth happening there for at least five years. I don't know what the limit is but mine kept growing on and off for five years. I'm at 36B but I am only 5'-3" and this is what's got me a bit worried, I am 130 lbs, the most I ever weighed in my life, but what bothers me is that the extra weight I gained seems to have all accumulated to the stomach area, I wish I was pregnant.

Hi, Keira,
I have "tweaked your nose" in these forums at times, likely because I wondered how someone could have a useful answer for so many things, how one could believe statistics as laws of the universe. Stats can mean much or mean little, but that is in the mind of the one analyzing them to see a trend. But that is not why I have posted directly to you here.
Given what you have studied, it is important to know how to do research, to find information, locate the facts, and present them in a useful manner to whomever has started you on your journey. Every answer to every question doesn't reside in your mind, and maybe not even on the Internet, but I believe that you know where to start looking for it.
I worked in Procurement and Contracting for 30 years and I have my degree in Business Management with a core concentration on Contracts. In that line of work I was required to understand the needs of many user disciplines, from publishing to mechanical and electrical engineering. I could not talk sensibly to a potential supplier until I learned the language of the requirement and the potential suppliers.
So that is what I have come to believe, that you, Keira, are good at finding the info. And thank you for sharing it.

Here's what's been bothering me:
Just how long are breasts supposed to take to grow? Does it vary widely?
The 007b.com site seems to say that breast adipose tissue deposits itself relatively quickly, like in the course of a year for a pubertal girl, and that by the time of menarche depositing of fats is basically over. On the other hand, for transgirls they say to wait 2 years before considering BA. Still others say, "Wait longer than 2 years for the BA, you may well get another growth spurt and wind up TOO endowed!" Finally, yet others say that a transpuberty is much like a natal girl's puberty, and that all the changes will take a good 7 years or so.
I'm rather confused. ???

Ya I've heard it varys alot, I've read 4 years and I've read 7 years so I don't think theres a standard. But most seem to say after 2 years you should be more or less your final size. But you do keep growing but it's not going to visually make to much of a difference. But everyone's diffrent

Have you seen this yet? It's a guide to breast development but by no means does it apply to everyone, natal female or not.
I have hears it said that in our case the best that we can hope for is one cup smaller than our nearest close relative, like mother or sister. I cannot say if that it true.

Please, Please not that myth again, in this very thread I've railed against the one
cup smaller than relative myth that seems to continue on without any strong
supporting evidence. Its based on nothing conclusive at all!!!
The only study about breast growth of TS
was made by the amsterdam gender clinic quite a while back and they used doses of E
whose serum levels could not be compared to GG's (ethinilestradiol and premarin);
since this is the case and these things were prone to DVT, they were also undertreated
and since these synthetics had long term impact, they cut drastically post SRS dosages.
Also, human growth levels are different at puberty than at 40 so dosages need to be
adjusted and timeframe elongated (this needs to be taken into account)
Also to compare to groups, you have to make sure that they are very similar
that the sample is large enough to be statistically significant, none of which was
the case in that study.
Despite those multiple methodology holes, they compared GG's and TS groups at year 1 and 2,
which obviously gave GG's at puberty on top!!!
The whole 1 cup less thing seemlingly comes from this study since I've found
no other study anywhere that seems to be the source of the myth.
So, it may turn out your one cup below, but if you had received E at purberty you may have
turned up the same way, nothing to do with being a TS.
There could be a suitable study about breast growth in TS,
but it would be expensive (long term, 10 years ) and just finding
a suitable matching GG group would be very hard. Long term studies
with high enough dosages taylored to the individual is what's needed
to give a proper response.

I'm forty and I'm close to C rachel; with more weight, I'd be over C and probably close to D
(with such a small band size, even a bit of weight makes a big diff in breast size).
I'm very thin right now. 153 now and 6 foot tall and lotsa muscles.
It comes faster than what A PERSON would have had it had started HRT earlier.
Comparing to someone else, is quasi impossible since there's so much difference in response
to E, P and sensitivity to T, fat levels, insulin levels and HGH levels and response to each.
Even at puberty, all these things vary widely from one person to the next,
with some starting puberty at 14 and finishing at 22,
while others starting at 9 and finishing by 14.
Basicly, I'll only say that with a X serum level of estrogen, progesterone and T, your own response is likely slower when you are older, but how slow is so highly variable that even that is not saying much. If you change your E, P and T from the puberty levels you would have had, then you could actually have a quicker response. Obviously, given this different dose younger would also make it quicker, though there is limit to the response at any age; human growth hormones set the higher boundary for growth. This limit is not necessarily reached; its even probable that its never reached.

You do love to contradict hey!
Body fat content has been proven to make a BIG difference in breast size
and that's another reason why comparing breast growth is a bit ridiculous.
I lost 30 pounds in a year, its a miracle I still got breasts at all!! ;D
Its been 16 months BTW. Comparing E levels or doses is just about useless,
since everybody's got their own sensitivity to it.
As I said, I'm very thin. Can't even pinch 1/4 inch on my stomach.
I can pinch 2/3 inch on my thighs and even more on my buttocks.
All my fat is bellow the waist, probably hereditary.
From my waist up, besides my breasts I can't pinch more than 1/8 inch anywhere, my ribs are visible
and they've always been. Always had almost no fat on my upper body.
I've never seen anybody, anywhere, with more visible veins under their arms, a sign of low under skin fat;
they are a lesson in anatomy (not very elegant for a woman, they annoy me).
When I was training on junior team in my early 20's, I had 2% body fat in the water tank test!
I'm now about 12-15%, still much lower than avg women, women athletes usually have
this level. But its all well placed so its ok ;)

Just stopped eating unhealthy and watched portion sizes.
Didn;t really up my exercise content that much.
My frame is very smalll compared to the amount of muslces on it,
which makes my metabolism very high. I could eat 3000 calories
last year and stay at the same weight 185, so obviously I needed
to cut a big on that to reduce the 30 pounds. But, a year is a long time
so I didn't need that much of a diet, just needed to continue what
I was doing the whole year.
Don't have supermones, I'm a 34 B or C (depending on the company, B is a little tight and C is not perfect
so I'm just under C, a B+ :-).
What I'm saying is that the cup size things for TS thing is a myth.
You get what you get, just maybe slower than you would have had at puberty.
If its too slow, maybe the dosage is too low for you (for someone else that dosage may be fine).

I heard 4-6 years for full development of breast tissue in MTF transsexuals. Similiar to natal females going through puberty. I feel this to be true.
Ive been on HRT for a year and I have only an A but a B feels more comfortable though. Allthough I cant fill it out properly. I have been told I will probably end up a C in a few years time. That will suit me fine!
I heard that breasts define a womans feminimity. Well according to men anyway...If I dont reach my desired C in a time frame like 4 years I will go for a BA if I can afford it. Im not your average woman and am 6 foot 4 and 64 kilograms. I have a very feminine body though I always have had and HRT hasnt done much to change that. I stand out so much that when Im ready to pass I think I still wont fit in because of my height. But trying to be a guy I dont fit in either! So having breasts is vital to me to pass! So Im waiting a few years until my breasts are really noticable and my face and body have benefitted enough from the Eostrogen. I must undo that Testosterone damage which is mostly hair related for me. Im not muscly at all in fact rather skinny. well one year down 3-5 to go.
Oh yeah Im 34 and still get asked for ID sometimes. I must look young still. I feel young still! I dont see from this point of view what age has got to do with it. It must be Genetics. Maybe their right in saying you get similiar development as your sisters or mother. This sounds pretty much the right thing.
And just maybe if you dont develop like your sisters or mother then your not a real woman! Oh thats right Im not a real woman. But I feel like one. Its not fair. I want a baby :'(

It took me five years of on and off growth before I had enough breast development to wear a dress without a bras. I believe that even though greatly slowed down I still have been getting growth on and off for the last couple of years but I think for the most part I am at maximum growth for me and for my size. I am quite pleased with the result and I will say like Keira I believe I m lucky to have any at all because in the beginning I was skin and bones and that was the most likely reason why I never really had very much muscles at all.

I'm heading into month 8 of HRT and i'm at a 32A right now. The growth seems to come in spurts. Right now they are rounding out and becoming fuller, not necessarily projecting out more. I'm fairly happy with how they are growing given my small frame and age (25). I'm being as patient as possible and enjoying the ride. I think if I can put on a few more pounds and get up to a full B then I would be happy.

I worry too. I do hope they get to grow more. I was a smaller A by that time, too. I started out with nothing, no pecs, no fat, so it's not bad.
I'm a full A (34A) or close now, I hope I can reach B cup before 2010...
If I don't get at least a full B cup by the time I'm 30 (I'm 25), I'll get implants to reach C cups. And I do worry about my size, as far as swimming suits or other times where it could matter.
Because of my peculiar ribcage form (modified by a congenital malformation), I have to wear 34 inch bands, although my nipple-height circumference is 32.

Some people have a chest that caves inward or upward (they are congenital problem), so it would be
possible to have non standard measurements. Though, I can see how this can make
a C more usefull (to counter this) than your frame would seem to indicate.
I've got a 34B (sometimes C, I'm borderline) and My over the breast measure is 36 and under breast
is 30.5 and overbreast is 33 (though, my measures change a bit from measure to measure so I'm probably not measuring perfectly all the time, but I'm close).

Its because my overbust is closer to 34 racheal.
The traditional formula was underbust + 5 (or 4),
so most women have an underbust much smaller than their band
because their torso is shorter and thus more likely that the ribs
start to taper down under the breasts (in men, we're taller,
so the thoracic cage is usually close to the same size above
and below).
For me, its not the thoracic cage which is tapered,
the differences is due to muscles in my back.
The 34 put in the middle bracket is slightly loose,
but if I used a 32 the top end of the band would be
way too tight. I've got still quite a bit of trapeze
muscles in the back which acount for the 2.5 inch diff between
underbust and overbust.
34 is truly my band size, tried Warner, Wonderbra, VS, etc.
Its all 34 for now. My old 38 from a year ago, Its just
incredible that I filled them!

Well band 32 bras fitted 'some' back in 2006, but I changed to band size 34 in 2007 because 32 size would leave deep red marks in my back where the strap was. I fit 34 A bras mostly, I haven't tried all brands, its a bit depressing to be bra-shopping when you're this small (and this poor).
As for my malformation, I found out online that it's called pectus excavatum. Or concave sternum (the joint between the ribs in the middle of the breasts).
Mine is not that deep, maybe 1 inch deep, 2 inch diameter. Potentially it would increase my cleavage...given I had enough breasts to have visible cleavage anyway. It's supposed to 'get worse' with age (puberty), but mine actually got less worse, or not worse anyway. I've always kept a small bone shape.
It's a rather common malformation, happening in 1/300 births and 3x as much in male children than female ones (according to that one site I saw about it).
My grandmother, and a (female) child I once met some years ago, both have it as well. It's said to be possibly stand alone, or as a symptom in a few conditions (including Noonan syndrome). I'm not sure what it is in my case, it never was investigated.
It affects the ribs (who are more rounded since they curve even more inward), the ribcage's overall form, and can possibly affects lungs and the heart if it's too pronounced (nothing in my case). It's possible to cosmetically 'repair' it, but is mostly done when its life-threatening. Breasts and cleavage could conceal much of it.

Breasts and cleavage could conceal much of it.

if your ribcage is 29inches, i cant see how 32s mark you :P but hey, your body...
36 is comfy, and while firm against my skin, is not tight... granted im a chubby one, so when ive lost weight maybe ill drop down...

The + 5 thing almost never works, even for women. There's a reason
why most women have the wrong bra size.
I'm certain that when I hit 32 band sometimes this year, I'm not going to be 27 or 28 inch.
I will simply mean that my upper trapeze back muscle has finally gone bye bye
and I'll probably be about 29.5 under and 31.5 inch over the breasts.
I think that below a certain value, you had 2 and 3 and not 5 anyway.
Anyway you look at it, that formula doesn't work well especially
for someone who is tall and has plenty of muscles which change
the thoracic cage girth. Now, it closer, but still not
giving the right response.

19 months (I think).
But, I had a very small frame which much muscles on top
so I'm not there yet. But, I want to keep muscle tone
in the upper body. In the lower body and core I don't mind muscles at all.

I've been told (by middleaged women) that I looked like a teen (or almost pre-teen, someone thought I was 14 :P). I sound like a child...with a PhD, sometimes (not my voice, but my personality).
Hormones haven't done much to my body. My measurements might have changed 0.5 to 1.0 inch since I started taking them 20 months ago. My arms, shoulders, ribcage and chest, have not changed however (those that did change were my hips, waist and chest where the breasts are). If I wanted to reduce my ribcage I probably would need a corset. I never was able to accumulate muscles, or weight at all.
The heaviest I've weighted was 115 lbs for my height (5'6"), the lowest since I reached this height was 99 lbs, last summer, when my estrogen was too low (bad doc) until I fixed it. I can eat as much as I want (and that means, fat and sugar and anything goes), I can hardly get past 110 lbs. I wish I could get a bit more fat to grow my breasts with.

DING DING DING
Try supplementing 5 table spoons of olive or canola oil daily. It doesn't taste too bad on toast, or just drop it in some soup or food, or just swallow it, it's almost flavorless.

Hi Schala
I was like that to 110 115 lbs and measure 5'3" tall and the hormones didn't do much for me either in the first year but then Wing Walker suggested for me to get a protein drink that it may helps. You see I was anorexic some years back 84lbs and was never able to put on weight since no difference how much I ate. The supplement I take is called 100% Premium Whey Protein. 46g protein 4g carbohydrates. I swear by this stuff, I gained up to 130lbs and I have 36b bras and I have hips. I believe that if you are a slim or underweight person to begin with it leaves the hormones with no fat to work on. Something like that, I just know that it worked for me. I use to eat only one meal per day supper, then I started using the supplement drink in the morning.

Hi Schala.
Yes it does work, Wing Walker found out about this drink while we were visiting a friend of her's, another Cindy in DC. She hardly ate at all but she was still plumpy looking and I asked Wing Walker to ask her how she did it. That was how I found out about the protein drink, that was about five years ago. Especially if you are the type of person that eats only one meal per day the supplement drink has the value of a full course meal. If your not big on eating in the morning this protein drink makes for a good replacement. I love supper now, although I eat with an appetite now, when I was coming off anorexia I only ate one small meal per day and drank juices, it was hard to swallow solids at first. Now sometimes it's like a contest between Wing Walker and I as to who eats more. I love suppertime. :D

Hi, Rachael,
IMHO, it's not surprising that we might sound like girls who are younger than we really are. I believe that's because some of us, if not many of us, did not start growing breasts until we were well past 18.
In my case I am 56 and I think of my breasts as being those of a teen-aged girl on a much older platform. I am grateful for that!
So if I sound a bit like a teen-aged girl, that's because parts of my body are new to me and I have more questions about how they got there and how they grow and how to care for them.
If that's sounding like a teen-aged girl, then I am as guilty as the day is long, but I have never had breasts, hips, thighs, face, musculature, and emotions like those of a teen-aged girl before.

If your metabolism is high enough, or you don't eat enough, to put on fat,
then yeah, breasts growth coming from fat would be hard.
But, it depends. Some people have breasts that are mostly gland tissue
(that's especially the case in younger women, who are in general thinner)
But, even with a high metabolism, its possible to gain weight if you do it
systematically (say count you calories); with high estrogen and low T
in theory, if you've got no middle fat disrupting fat distribution,
the fat should all in the lower body, on the face, under the arm and in the breasts

So am I going to have a very difficult time with a high metabolism and being 6' and weighing 135? I eat what I think is lots and lots of food, just my metabolism is really fast I guess (thank you genetics sort of).

I eat 6-8 meals a day, not including my unhealthy snacks of chocolates and an occaisional soda. I'll chug canola oil and all that. Granted I'd only been on HRT for a few weeks, full HRT I mean, I still think it might work. I HAVE noticed that I'm not NEARLY as moody when I am well fed, which means my body is demanding a lot of food because it's probably undergoing a ton of changes.

Hi, Shanetastic,
The protein supplement that I bought for Cindy is a powder and it comes in vanilla, chocolate and other flavors. She mixes it with milk and believe me, if it didn't taste good to her (at least) she wouldn't drink it.
Liquid whey protein can taste lousy unless you do it 50/50 with something like blueberry-flavored iced tea, as one of my friends, an RN, did.
Hope this helps.

Being intimately involved with the fitness industry, I know quite a lot about protein supplementation.
Taste is a big thing. Unfortunately, a lot of the powders that the companies actually took the time to make it taste good also have a ton of other things besides just protein>.< Creatine, taurine, gensing, and the list goes on. Some of these formulas even have small bits of viagra in them.
A lot of guys get really picky about what they put in their body, crappy taste or not. They come up with things like: PROTEIN PANCAKES, simply mix into the pancake batter and have at it. PROTEIN BIQUITS, yup, make a batch once a week and put tons of butter on it. MILKSHAKES. PUDDING. MUFFINS. Anything that's baked or make up, you can load it up.
Don't forget those energy/protein bars.
And just a bit of advice, go for short ingredient lists. "100% Whey Protein" is a good name. Don't get the whey from walmart, it will load you up with so much sugar and caffiene and whatever else is in it you'll get high, and then you'll vomit. Whatever doesn't come out will make a loud exit during your next BM. I've heard good stuff about milk proteins. People on here get pissy when I say soy protein, but that stuff tastes the best out of all of them. Anyone tried peanut butter protein powders?

Do you think it would help breast growth!
And kalt, I used to drink those supplement drinks when I went into huge machoness go to the gym thing a while ago. They always tasted awful and it was painful to drink but I did it. I think I tried strawberry, chocolate malt, and vanilla, all of them tasting god awful lol. I used to add like peanut butter and ice to the chocolate malt one and it made it taste all right if blended, but still hard to drink the whole thing of it.

What do you mean Rachael?
There is a direct correlation between body fat percentage
and breast fat content (and thus size).
If you get as thin as me you may be unpleasantly surprised !
You do realize that gland and fat is mixed, so the full extent
of a breast's fat content is not easy to ascertain.
The main reason for a women needing to change bra size
is wieght loss and gain.

i didnt say the size wouldnt change, just the breast gland itself. surely that is the aim of wanting bigger breasts? a side poduct of all that crud youd pour into your system would make you so fat that your boobs didnt matter!

Hi Keira tanks
I believe you had that information on another of your posts some time back, about boobs and fat and the darn hard to get rid of pot and you suggested walking. Well you were right about the walking, it was exactly what the Doc prescribe to us Wing Walker and I just a few weeks ago. See, I listen to the stuff you say.

I find you can ask al the questions you want and get all kinds of answers. Some times you just have to try it, I'm definatley going to try that Protine drink. I've always been skinny too and I cant put on weight no matter how much I eat. I'm not bone skinny anymore but 7months ago I was 18 pounds now I'm 119 pounds at 5'3 and I have tried that whole time to get fat...It just doesn't work. Everyone is different so all you can do is try it and see if you it works for you, but thanks for the tip on the Protine drink. :)

Well I guess that beg the question, then: Is it possible to simultaneously lose weight and grow breast size? Or are these two thing mutually exclusive?

Kristi, depends how much weight you lose and how
high your E and P is and your sensibility to it.
You'll lose more weight in the breasts if you lose it post HRT
than pre HRT, since E will tend to send more fat into the
breasts for storage. Losing much weight fast post HRT
is a recipie for sagging breasts no matter the age.
So, its better not to gain too much weight if you
want to keep your breasts perky (and smalller,
but the perkiness more than compensate).

yeah, perky ftw :D
perky looks awesome and more than compensates for not being DD....
smaller and perkyer = more virginal and inocent almost... (even i dont know how i got there)

I am 5 months on AA and 2 months on Estrogen. I have "man boobs" but not breasts I'd have to say. I read all over the different websites the signs of breast growth and I think my body has decided to skip over the only 1 I was looking forward to, my nipples are not developing atleast not that I can tell. I have noticed over the last couple days that the nipples "feel" kinda swollen but theres definitely no hardness to em just the same old nipples. Oh also I am not overweight I just happened to have some minor fat on my chest is all, not even enough to fill a 38NA. Do they really go hard fulltime during the development? Maybe I am just not noticing the growth because I am expecting that when it really doesn't happen I dunno. I'd ask my mother but I haven't come out to her yet and shes not the kinda mother you wanna tell this stuff to.

Hi Kateri
I don't know your age but I can tell you that generally the developing parts like the breasts, hips and legs can take up to two years before you notice a difference. But as some here have agreed with me that some weight gain is helpful for the hormones to have something to grow in those places I mentioned above. The breasts should be the first to show some changes, usually after about six months maybe less, again depending on age and your physical make up. At first you will find a tenderness in the breasts, almost like you had some bruising in the breast tissue. This you should begin to feel any time now.

Yeah, I am getting the "puffyness" in the nipple region but they aren't really changing that I can see. I know its gonna take a while I was just worried I was developing wrong lol I go through this phase about 20 times a day and I can't help it.

when I started hormones my appetite went through the roof.... However I haven't gained that much weight although Im sure a lot of muscle turned into fat. And its kind of funny when I first started hormones my therapist told me that eventually I could get that annoying inner thigh chaffing that women suffer from. At the time I didn't reall believe him but lately it seems that.... sure enough chaffing. :( oh the difficulties of being female. :D
