Hi everyone. I have been thinking I am female for a long time and have decided it's time to act...It was such a great feeling to talk to a professional about transitioning mtf, they made me feel that it was perfectly okay to identify as a women and the natural thing to do, also reading the stories on susans has given me the confidence to come out and say Hi.

Hello LusciousBeauty, welcome to Susan's!
Thank you for joining and for posting in the Introductions forum. It's so much nicer to be able to interact instead of just reading - that's what I found when I joined. Talking to people here with similar experiences helped build my confidence. And I'm glad you talked to a professional, I also found that very help helpful.
See you around!
Kendra

hi and thanks for your warm welcomes. I have taken the next step and made an appointment with a doctor who prescribes hormones for mtf transitioning... i can't wait, 2 weeks and I will be on my way although I may have to see a psyc first. the last week i have been gaining confidence and browsing and buying womens lingerie and clothes-it feels so liberating, and i don't care anymore at the looks i get from the sales attendants, i feel emboldened and one women staff member helped me with my bra, i think she was turned on that I was wearing womens lingerie
... more soon .
have a great day,
Michelle

Welcome. I am glad that the posts here have helped you. It is one of the reasons that I am trying to post myself. Knowing that there are people who feel almost identically to myself (even amongst the huge diversity of trans women) is really helpful. I am not alone!
I still find it difficult to go shopping. I kinda play it off as me shopping for my wife. The big problem is when doing that, I can't try stuff on. So far I have only really frequented thrift stores (there is some REALLY NICE stuff there) so at least if I get something that is a little too small, I am not breaking the bank. Also, as I intend to lose a large amount of weight, those garments might fit better in a month or so.
Cya around!
