Title: A Reintroduction...

I doubt many of you remember me, but I was a member of this forum a few months back. I couldn't remember my login credentials (I remember I had a text butterfly in my name...) so I started a new account, & considering everything that has happened since I last posted, I figured a "reintroduction" was in order...
*Ahem* Hello everyone! My name is Jessica! I'm 33, MTF, & I'm from NH. I have struggled with finding myself & my place in life for many years, but ~FINALLY~ things are beginning to fall into place!
When I first joined Susan's (last Oct I think), I was homeless, unemployed, & completely & utterly alone, disowned by both family & friends, & a recovering addict to boot; however, with the guidance of the kind people on this forum, & the help of an amazing trans guy I met at my gender support group, I never gave up! I have managed to claw my way up from my "rock bottom," & I now have a good job, my own apartment, & a lot of amazing new friends!! Also, 2 wks from today, I will have been clean for ONE YEAR!!! YAY!!!
As for my transition, that is going quite well too! I have been on HRT for a mere 5 months, but I barely recognize myself! I had to start wearing a bra 6 wks ago, & I've been FT for over 2 months. I am blessed in that I have a rather feminine face & body, & I actually pass... until someone gets close. I have that irritating facial hair shadow & fair skin (insurance co. is taking their time on the prior auth for laser! >:[ grrr), so even when I'm clean shaven, it's super obvious... Honestly, though, I've kinda stopped caring what people think of me. I no longer allow the opinions others have of me to have any bearing on my life whatsoever. I initially planned to wait until I passed to go FT, but after presenting as female a few times & experiencing such immense joy from simply being myself, I knew it was time for this butterfly to emerge, & leave her cocoon behind forever! 🦋 Now, for the FIRST TIME in my ENTIRE LIFE, I am TRULY HAPPY!
I've missed Susan's, & I've missed the people here too! Sooo glad to be back!
Much [emoji178] to you you all, & remember:
Always smile thru the pain,
and dance when it rains!

I definitely remember you and was wondering how you were doing. I am really glad to hear you are doing well - sounds like you have discovered ways to unlock your future and find happiness.
Since this is your first post I'll add information we provide to help with navigation and site guidelines:
I will check around - maybe it's possible for a site administrator to merge or help recover your previous account. I am not sure (I'm not promising) but it's worth a try.
Jessica, so great to see you back on Susan's!
Kendra

Welcome back to Susan's Place. I did a quick check and I think I found your old account. Unfortunately if you don't recall your password, I don't have a way to fix that but possibly an administrator could. When I first became a moderator, the password field were available and while I couldn't change the password, I could alter them however about two years ago a software upgrade took that ability away. Anyway, here is a link (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=55092) to your old account.

Thanx! I'm glad you remember me, you were very considerate & helpful, & your advice was greatly appreciated! Things here def seem a bit different... but perhaps I'm just rusty...
I've lived a hard life, & I've experienced far more than my fair share of pain & sadness... but I've learned a LOT from it. I'm a much stronger woman because of it, & much happier. I've actually been planning to write a book for a while now, a compilation of many trans people's journeys, in hopes that I can inspire others to start their own journeys, & finally find happiness in their own lives! I even proposed the idea to an admin here a while back & got permission to post about it, but I can't remember who the admin was... Anyway, that's part of the reason I'm back. I'm preparing to make that dream of mine a reality.

Quote from: JessiCalypso on February 18, 2018, 12:37:45 PMHmmm... so I use Tapatalk, & the link just brings me to the bottom of the page. I thought perhaps I could access it via the internet, but after logging in to Susan's & clicking on it it brings up a page saying: "An error has occurred! You are not allowed to access this section." I am fairly certain I remember the password, are you able to tell me the account name?
Cool thanks! I appreciate it! I think I may remember the PW. We shall see!

Your account name last year was JessiCalypsoƸ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ
It's possible the extended characters Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ might cause a problem with some software... I don't use Tapatalk, but some software can't process characters outside the standard alphabets and various international languages.
