Welcome Julie!  I'm Jessica.  There are many questions that pop up that can be straight forward or hard to pin down.  With the combined experiences of the many helpful members here at Susan's most can be answered from a myriad of perspectives.  No person is identical, but common ground can help find your best fit answer.

Hi Julie,

I'm Laurie. Welcome to our little home on the web, Susan's Place. The door is open so won't you please come in? We have a lot of good folk here and several of them are in Colorado. I've managed to meet three of them and have more to meet still. Every so often I get a hankering to get in my pickup and mosey around the country. I'm getting restless again and there no telling where I me go. Perhaps I'll see you someday too. Take a good look around and join on in the conversations that interest you.

Hugs,
   Laurie

Hello Julie, and welcome from another Coloradan! I live near Colorado Springs and started my journey about a year ago. I am married with two adult daughters. I had lots of questions and fears myself, but with the help of many great folks here at Susan's I have been able to keep moving forward. I just came out at work on Friday, and today will be my first day at work! The path seemed daunting at first, but as you so often hear just take one step at a time. I wish you the best of luck on your journey, and hopefully we can help you find what you need.

Jessica, good to hear from another Coloradoan.  Wow you had a fast timeline.  I started on HRT Feb 2017.  I'm still not out to most people.  My wife has known since we first were married but not my children and I'm uncertain where to go next.  The HRT has been a blessing and I'm starting on voice lessons.

I'm glad things are working out for you.  I hope coming out at work went well.  I think that would be my hardest decision.

If you are up in the Denver area  let me know and we can meet for lunch or dinner.

Take care Julie

Hello Julie and WELCOME to Susan's Place.  You will find this a safe and friendly place to share with others about your transition and to read about and learn from others regarding their transitions and their trials, tribulations, and successes in their transition journey.  You might even find that you will make some new friends here.  Please come in and get involved at your own pace.
Again, Welcome.

Tia,

Thanks for mentioning Susan's place to me.  It is nice to read others questions, concerns and situations of women like us.  My life is brighter because of you and Debi and I do thank you for that.  My avatar was last fall when it was warm and beautiful at a park in Denver.  Great place to walk and think.  See you soon, Julie

Hi once again Julie,

I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet while I was out there visiting Tia Anne and Debi. I heard good things from both of them and Jessica Rose about you. Perhaps on a future visit we can meet. It's something I seem to enjoy doing and I think those I meet with from Susan's Place also enjoy. I've been call an ambassador for Susan's place because of my having met so many wonderful people.
I've read of your wish for a fuller acceptance from your wife and I wish for that to come to pass for you as we all deserve to be happy. I will refrain from giving you advice on how to achieve it with your wife as I made a mess of my own marriage and family life long before I discovered I was transgender. Those people I have met out in Colorado are wonderfully friendly folk and should be a good support network for you.

Hugs,
   Laurie
