Congrats mountainwarfaregirl :), I would imagine you were with the 10th Inf.Div.?, if not my apologies. After several years on hrt, no way, will people make you out to be former military or knowleageable about the outdoors. I know people in a million years, can't make me out :) Good to know that skill set for self defense though, in my opinion :)(USMC MP here), I always blindside people who are bullies or act macho around me, I make them blink :), but onwards with your hrt :)

Not 10th MTN I was in 3/172 IN (MTN) we had the army Mountain warfare school and all the Armies lead climbers unlike the 10th we were really trained alpine troops not just light infantry with a name [emoji4] of a old unit

Have been on HRT foe a week and a half now haven't seen or felt any changes yet other then a little tenderness in my nipples once in awhile. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180307/b27ac77f82a9e4d0af5050ddf9432c3d.jpg)

You'll get there!  I think it feels great just to at least know I'm finally on the road to physical transition, so congrats on starting the journey.

I started HRT about a month ago ( estradiol via pill and bicalutamide) and have noticed a slight change to my skin, lower libido as well as my nipples have gotten larger and breast tenderness.  My waist has also shrunk, but I think that's more due to diet/exercise than HRT.

I look forward to hearing you future updates on how its going.

@ Mountain Warfare Girl:  This all very exciting.... starting HRT will bring big changes to your body, but bear in mind that what you read about other's HRT results and their transition timeline may not be typical for you and your body.   Nothing happens really quickly so you need patience, these things can not be rushed, in fact, there is evidence if things are rushed with higher doses than the doctor prescribes that it can actually hamper breast growth and other body changes.  That is why medically supervised HRT is not only the SAFE choice but also the best choice.  Your doctor will continue to do regular blood tests and adjust dosages accordingly throughout your HRT regimen.

Again, nothing happens really fast but you will see small changes rather quickly like with you nipple tenderness... and then more will be happened in it's own time... patience is needed.
Wishing you well in your transition.... and looking forward to your updates.   (and pics?)

Ok got my 1.5 month blood work back yesterday and had good news and bad news the good is my T has dropped to 58.3 pg/mlthe bad news was that my E levels haven't changed at all and is still the same as my baseline taken before I started at 28.0 pg/ml.
So I'm going to talk to my DR about changing methods to IM injections this Friday wen I have my 1.6 month follow up appointment.

@ Mountain Warfare Girl:
Thank you for posting your latest update about your HRT and the mixed results of your blood work.  Some times it takes some time for E to increase once the T has gone down for while.  Your doctor will of course know more about this.
One thing to know, is that if HRT changes are rushed many times with too high of doses the final results of transition can be impaired.... breast growth for one.

This is a very poor analogy but it is like trying to quickly cook or roasting and smoking meat.... it just doesn't come out as good as when it is SLOW roasted!

It will be interesting what you and your doctor decide to do.
Please keep your updates coming!!  I for one enjoy keeping up with your progress.
Hugs,
Danielle
