Title: Hey there.
Post by: Dashbe87 on March 05, 2018, 07:51:43 PM
Hi everyone!

I'm new around here so I thought I'd do a quick introduction. My amazing husband came out to me as transgender a couple of weeks ago. He had always been open with me about cross dressing and we have had many conversations about gender over the years so it wasn't a huge surprise to me when we had "the talk".
I've always considered myself to be a lesbian so it threw me when we met and found such a deep connection with each other. He was the total opposite of everyone I had ever dated before and yet I couldn't walk away. If anything, the cross dressing made it easier because I had my boyfriend/husband and my girlfriend all in one. I have to say that I am really excited to have a wife!!

We have three beautiful children together and are considering having a fourth to complete our family before she starts the medical side of transitioning. They are still pretty young so we are hopeful that they take the changes well. We have gone on family shopping trips to expand J's daytime wardrobe and she has been wearing the clothes every day at home after work and they've not said anything about it. Wigs may be a different matter but we have a game plan for introducing those in a fun way.

The last couple of weeks have been amazing. There are less dark clouds in our life now that she is being true to herself. The video games have stayed on the shelf, less time has been spent in the gym, and more time has been spent talking and enjoying each other. The future is bright.

Dashbe87, welcome! You've come to the right place! You'll not find a warmer, more understanding, or more helpful place on the internet for those of us working through our transitions. It sounds like you and your wife have found the perfect relationship. You both have a wonderfully happy future in front of you. I love reading about such great relationships. I'm looking forward to hearing from ABrandNewJacinta, and reading about her point of view. Congratulations to you both!
