Taking Prometrium lowers your estrogen level so to maintain the same levels you need to take about a third more. If your doctor does not know that find another doctor.

To compensate for progesterone diminishing receptivity of cells to estrogen, you up the amount of E
by 1/3. That's why using progesterone with estrogen in menopausal HRT is seen as
leading to less breast cancer risks.

QuoteI stopped taking P. And my levels have gone up, not down

Exactly add p add e. Drop P drop E. You dropped P without dropping E so your levels went up. This is not rocket science.
