I just came out to my girlfriend yesterday. I came out to her kids and my friends, as well. Looking for resources in the greater Philadelphia area. Thanks, Maddie❤️

Maddie, congratulations!
Before I started on all this I guessed completely wrong on what would be the easiest and the most difficult parts of my transition, and which things would have the most long term impact. Some of the physical things were not as challenging as anticipated, but coming out to those who matter the most was like climbing a massive rock wall without any tools. I was finally able to move forward after seeing other peoples' experiences here. And once I started it did get easier. I think you will find the same - definitely gets easier from this point forward.
I am not personally familiar with transgender resources in Philadelphia (I live near Seattle) but I've heard many great things about the Mazzoni Center. You may want to read the posts from Rachel, she is in your part of town. Rachel started a thread 5 years ago, MTF in Need of Help (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,133631.0.html). (Rachel's earlier posts referred to herself as Cynthia, changed name to Rachel).
All the best,
Kendra
