Hi,
I'm on hrt for 5 mos now and I'm switching from estradiol tablets to estrogen implant. I'm just worried that my initial dose of implants is low compared to my oral dose :(. Is this the standard. I hope someone can answer my question. Thanks in advance xxxx
*No Dosages Please*

Non oral doses are typically alot lower as you don't suffer the large loss associated with the first pass through the liver.

Changing from tablets to implanted Estradiol will give you different delivery rates. The tablets will give you a spike and a rapid fall several times a day if taken sublingual. The oral tablets give a bit more stable blood levels, but never reach the highest peak due to the first pass through the liver, which the sublingual route avoids.
Using an implanted pellet for Estradiol delivery will give you the most consistent blood levels of any delivery system. The blood levels are most important. There are different strength pellets available for your doctor to select the proper strength pellet. The doses from oral to pellets do not translate mg for mg. Your pre-pellet dose and your desired blood levels as well as other factors will help your doctor select the proper strength pellet for you. After your pellet has been in place for a month or so, your blood levels can be measured again and additional pellets inserted if needed.

Implanted pellets are great. After my first implant my feminisation went up a notch, so don't stress about the dosage. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I would ask my doc to write me a prescription if I would know the name.
Can you share the name of the implants?

Quote from: AnonyMs on July 04, 2018, 12:45:51 PMThank you! I will get in touch with them and just ask. So the pellets are custom made and not any stock product from a pharmacytical company? There was a stock product from a dutch company that was acquired by a US Pharma Company that discontinue the product. [emoji20]

Any other suggestions in the LA or SF area?

There's another company, BioTE Medical.

You may also have difficulty finding a doctor that will give you a supply to take with you, and if you do you'll also need a trocar to insert them, and find someone back home willing to do it. My endo uses a local anesthetic to insert mine - I'm sure it would hurt quite a bit otherwise as the pellets are around 3mm diameter (and that's the small ones, they used to be 5mm).
Having said all that, I'd travel to get them.

Thanks a lot for all the information. I will try my best to get my hands on a supply of implants. The inserting shouldn't be an issue but I will check with my doc if she will do the prescription and the inserting afterwards.

I have a few days left in LA before going back and I just found this website.
https://rejuvalife.md/hormone-pellet-therapy/
Has anyone experience with them?
I also found something in Europe:
http://www.smartwayulm.co.uk/wholesale-estradiol-implants-pellets-supplier
Maybe that's my second best choice to get an implant if I can get anything here in the US.

Those Smartway implants are quite a lot smaller than the one I get.

Actually I think its ok. My endo does far higher high blood levels than anyone else I've heard of (and I like it), and I get two implants at a time.

I will speak to my Endo at home about it and if she thinks that this implants could work for us it would make me really happy.
I not very happy with the Gel and also the suppositories are not my preferred way of getting my daily dose. [emoji6]
