This is more for transgender women on hrt (or not) and will hopefully inspire comments in a playful way.

My right boob has always be playing catch-up with miss lefty.
She says she's jealous and wants to be like her bigger sister!

My right one is slightly larger.

The lead has changed hands several times in my race.  Right now they're pretty even but that will surely change in the months to come.

My right has always lead the way, right handed maybe makes a difference.
I started doingmwall push ups to tone them and decided to try left arm only. They are catching up but right is still leading

My left was always larger. Then last month I upped my HRT dose. Then my right breast has seemingly grown much more - now larger than my left. A good feeling but quite scary, actually. I have had prominent breasts for over a year now. Now they are full C-cups and fill my bras nicely as never before. Again, scary...but otherwise very comforting in its own feminine way... ;)

@Chelsea1807, I gave the poll an option to change your vote if they start racing each other.

It not unusal for boobs to wind up slightly or significantly different sizes. It is quite common in cis women.

At first, my breasts developed together. After two years of HRT, my right is significantly larger. The difference was  big enough that when I went for a mammogram, the Radiologist noted breast asymmetry on the report.

Either way we win, hands down. 

I think their growth rate is the same, but my right breast had a head start.  I had a touch of gynecomastia prior to starting HRT (thanks, DES), and the right one was always bigger.

I don't mind.  Small, uneven, they are still outrageously cute.

@KathyLauren, I think DES jump started my left one.  And yes no matter the size, they are so nice to have and at my older start age will help them stay perky into my later years.  Hopefully avoiding the look my wife has when she is braless...... nipples next to her belly button.

I tease her about her flat chest and extended belly at these times.  She laughs too!  Hers are large and gravity has done its job.

The hubby says mine are the same. He is such a breast man, he gets upset when I wear a bra (even at home) just because he is so "handsy".

@RobynTx, that would be good as another poll!  I had those same thoughts but not enough space to put it out there intact.

As volume increases growth only appears to slow?

Have recently started adding Progesterone cream and mineral sourced Nacient Iodine seems to help too! No anti-antigen E only breasts are intermittently budding me crazy!

The way I've been measuring each individual breast is measuring from straight up from the nipple  to the collarbone then to the inframammary crease. 
My right breast has always been smaller than my left one.  I measure once a month and my right breast grew an entire inch during last month.
Lucy has been left behind by Rhonda's areola and nipple!

Yesterday my Endocrine exam my breast with a nurse present, and he asked if I wanted to change my name and gender. I think I will wait for couple months from now.

That's interesting.  After I finished the interview with the Shrink, she said that my Endo could give me a letter to change my name which yes eventually but I'm still adjusting to shedding the old guy.

I thought that was like 6-9 months along which really doesn't matter to me.  My major desire is to be comfortable and progress as if nature was doing it for the first time if that makes sense.  When I see women in dresses I wonder what I might look like in one (at 64, I'm not sure) but I am in no rush.  I feel comfortable in jeans and a little makeup around the house so far.  I am happy that's for sure.

up through my 2nd year of HRT, my left boob was somewhat larger and more sensitive....   during my 3rd year of HRT my right boob caught up and both boobs are about the same now.  Nipple and Areola size increased quite a bit in my 2nd year.  Now, everything is looking good.... now a C-cup and I am not planning on BA, I like it the size they are.

Heck, after reading this comment I had to look at mine to see what's been happening; nipples seem to, guessing, doubled in size since beginning HRT but my Endo thought they were big to begin with.  As far as Areolas go, maybe a little though I try to visualize them larger, lol. 

My oldest, younger sister is well-endowed and of the 4 siblings we are closest to looking alike so I most likely will not be an a, lol.

Jessica.... NO I don't.   I never worried about it too much because I had heard from others that as one continues with HRT most of the time they even out.... and mine fortunately did even out and are the same now.

I believe my mothers genes are kicking it in gear anyway.  Both her and my sister were DD's.
Ma had breast cancer and before it could grab hold....off they came.  My sister needed a reduction.  I'm confident I am well on the way from the evidence I have experienced already after 8 months.

Lucy lost the lead briefly, only to fill in the backstretch and project fully for the lead!
Using the cupped hand technique, coupled with collarbone, nipple, crease measurements.
They have both been pronounced comfortably and wonderfully in the way!

Okay.......Lucy and Rhonda are both itchy, but the ache in both have increased at times.
Boldly (and sorely), Rhonda has jumped to the front again.
They both seem to be quite competitive.

As we have discussed previously, when there is pain and itching that is usually a good sign that something good is happening.... as they say, "no pain, no gain."

My left and right caught up with each other sometime before the 1 1/2 year point of my HRT, at that time they were a B cup and they have been  "even" ever since...but they went from a B Cup to a C cup at about 2 1/2 years of HRT 
... so, for your girls the race with each other may be over soon and they will hopefully continue together ending in a tie race.

Well I'm not on HRT (other than what my body naturally produces as my T declines with age).  But back in 2014 at age 61, for the entire year, my left breast ached and was a little tender (I'm sure it was far less than what you ladies experience).  I got so excited and hoped for some gynecomastia.  Alas, only a little development happened, although my left nipple did get infinitesimally larger.  The right one never did participate except briefly.

Now to Donna's mention of doing pushups, I participate in a weight lifting class (Body Pump) at the YMCA twice a week.  It's 80% women BTW.  Anyway, the chest exercises (bench press, butterflies with dumbbells, push ups) have done wonders for my pec muscles and I have pretty nicely shaped "breasts" from that.  Small, but they look decent under the proper shirt :)  So anybody who's wanting more up there, I can recommend this approach (it's taken several years however).

Yes, if you have a small frame it doesn't take much for the "girls" to stand out. I think it works well for RandyL!

I'm not on HRT, but my left side is noticeably larger than the right.

I am now at 6 months and indeed have my 6 months Blood Tests today and will report on this Board next week.

I am delighted to say that I now possess what certainly are breasts albeit small ones. Right has maintained her narrow lead throughout!

Nine years into HRT I have the classic right handed=bigger left boob syndrome.

Surprised by the number of right-handers that have larger left-side boobs. My left has always been a bit smaller. I do chest exercises and have to work the left side harder and longer to "even out"

So friends, in the race between Rhonda and Lucy.  Lucy has tied it once more with Rhonda by poking her snoopy nose out just enough.  Rhonda though has rounded out nicely and if past indications hold true, she will more than likely regain the lead next growth spurt!

So nearly two months later, Rhonda went all "snoopy" last month retaking the lead. They both have a nice rounded appearance now, which is a great relief.  I have thought about asking for progesterone to help with that aspect, but it seems it may not be necessary.

I always look forward to following the race between Lucy and Rhonda.
Most of the time they will even out as you continue with your HRT...  certainly the rounder appearance is a nice change. 

In the middle of my 2nd year of HRT, my L & R evened out nicely at a B cup and by the start of year 3 both became nicely shaped C cups, and now more than 3 1/2 years into my HRT they still remain the same even size and a still a C Cup which is very fine with me... I do not want any larger because of my active lifestyle with jogging, running, hiking, gym, etc...  So I am very happy to be stuck with a 34C although some of my 34B bras still fit OK but can be a little snug.

It is merely coincidence that I should read this thread which is most interesting and amusing on the day of my 6 month Blood Test (Aug 14th) and the day of my 9 month BT today.

My right maintains her lead over left but I appreciate this situation may or may not remain.

It seems my growth spurts come at 3 month intervals.  Just started the next one, with Rhonda feeling like a bee hive.  Lucy and Rhonda both are trying to project with a periodic snoopy look, depending on the moment whether they are pointy or the areolae gets wider and more rounded.
After about three weeks the spurt usually has subsided with a nice shape to both.  Rhonda is in the lead all the same.

Has anyone else experienced cycles like this.

Well, Lucy caught up with Rhonda in the last month, albeit not as round, but now have the same clavicle to the inframammary crease dimension.  That dimension started at 8 1/2" on both, they are now at 10 1/2".

The race between Lucy and Rhonda is becoming a TIE !!! 
You have been reporting on this for a long time since last March, I am happy for you that they are finally evening out.

     pencil under the breast in the inframammary crease
     and let go of it,
     If the breast can hold the pencil then that is cause

I have to bend slightly, like I was looking at my toes, before the pencil will stay.
I had just checked that very same thought after measuring and tested them.
I call it a real success!

About the pencil test...

If the pencil stays put, could that mean one's breast is sagging?
If one has really perky breasts, maybe it would not stay put because the breast is perky.

The breast could still be nice!   :)

I will need to try this test, I am still looking for one of those itsy bitsy mechanical pencil leads....  :)

A breast volume measurement may be interesting to conduct.... seems to me I saw one of those explained online somewhere....  my breasts seem to be filling out some more.

I have found that even with my fairly perky c-cup breasts that I can hold a pencil....  a couple years ago when I was an a-cup or a small almost b-cup it was not very possible....

C cup seems to be the magic 'pencil' size.
With a 36" band and a 40" bust, I'm fairly sure I'm there.

Well, these were unpredictable results.  Used a pen, next time, I will try a pencil.
The pen may have had an outside texture that promoted sticking, unsure. 


Right side, dropped to the floor.   >:(

Left side, pen held in the inframammary crease. 

Will need to try with a wooden pencil to see if that makes a difference.

Left breast is the bigger one, they are not twins.   :)     :)

My left side was always bigger than the right side.  I am able to keep a pencil up with the left side, right side is not large enough for this.  I think there might be 1/2 cup size difference between the two.  And I am right handed.

But talking about this with my cis girlfriends, they all say that they have different sizes between their two boobs.  It seems to be a pretty common thing.

I must say that my 36 C boobs are perky and neither one will hold a pencil.....and I don't mind. I am happy when my girls are happy.

Very perky indeed!!! 

I do consider my boobs to be quite perky... no sagging whatsoever....
....it was only recently when I started becoming a full 34C-cup that I could even hold a pencil, but even now and then there still are sometimes, some days that the pencil test fails me.... and perhaps some pencils, that do not cooperate with pencils being held. 

I am certain that the relationship between band-size and cup-size introduces more variables.

I tried the pencil test today with a pencil instead of the pen.
Got the same results, but did need to bend forward about an inch. This has the effect of pushing the breast down onto the pencil.

The left breast held the pencil, the right breast did not.

I think a better test of growth or size would be a volumetric measurement, maybe a hemispherical breast calculation!

But this was interesting.    :)    :)

I think that the "Pencil Test" was certainly not meant to be any kind of exact scientific calculation of breast size.  As I understand it, it was a simple test for those wondering if they should be wearing a bra all the time.   Obviously there are other factors involved in answering that question.

Now with the results you have found out for yourself, you can now kinda simply and informally judge future growth of each breast if you elect to do the pencil test again.

I was told by my endo to measure from the clavicle, at a point straight up from the nipple, down to the inframammary crease.
In my case that dimension has increased by 2" in 1 1/2 years since I started HRT.

I too needed to bend about an inch forward before the pencil stayed in place.
It may be due to perkiness as Anne describes.

What a great thread. I'm only 2 weeks on HRT so I have no growth but your stories are inspiration for where I'd like to be.
