Title: After 4 years of waiting

After coming out to my wife over 4 years ago, 3 job changes with moves from one coast to the other and back, and multiple medical issues, I've finally been able to start HRT.
Took my first dose tonight ;D
My wife just said "it's about time".
I can't stop smiling even though its starting to make my face hurt.

My wife said the same thing, but somehow I got the feeling it was more a warning and not so much encouragement. :P

@ Shannon: This is wonderful news for you to start your transition journey.
I am certain that you were so elated about starting HRT with your first dose that you might have had trouble swallowing the pills!!!
On this site you can read about other's experiences with HRT and you should become quite aware that HRT body changes are not the same for everyone. How HRT changes your body in time is unique to your body. Some transitioners experience slow changes and perhaps others more significant body changes more quickly.
My best advice for all that are starting HRT is to be PATIENT... body changes almost never come as quickly as we all desire.... human nature dictates that "We want it all, and WE want it now!"
Again, enjoy your transition journey no matter if it happens slowly or quickly, and be sure to keep us updated.
