Hi all, I am pretty new at this transitioning and only out to my wife and a few good and trusted friends, including some on this site. I am only 5 months on HRT and only 10 months on this journey, but often have dysphoria but little things often help me just get through...i hope I am not alone in this!
Today, I put on a little macara that no one noticed, but it made me able to get through the day!
What do you do?
Love and Hiugs, Marcie

I just do what I enjoy doing which is primarily exercise; some days running and some days powerlifting. It keeps my mind focused on always improving my fitness, health, and body. It also makes me sleep really well and gives me a lot of leeway on my diet.

Deborah, That is a great way... I have orthopedic issues but I can bike and do stretching and weights...

I think any kind of exercise helps HRT because it increases human growth hormone and helps ensure weight doesn't get out of control without having to decrease calories too much and leaving nothing for the HRT to work with. Plus it just elevates one's mood everyday.

Music, make up, tea with freiends. Anything really to dull the pain yet remain in reality. I avoid alcohol and such

As you say a little mascara or eyeliner or colourless nail varnish along with the underwear to get you through the day. Then when home, more of the same but with the "outerwear" aswell!
Generally I avoid alcohol, but sometimes I consume just one glass of wine.
Hugs and Kisses

I remind myself that I will be going on T someday and that I will have surgery and get through college.

I generally do some work towards the next transition step. But, I've been so busy doing that there aren't too many steps remaining that don't require waiting. I do enjoy just making myself look nice, or wearing a new dress/top. Shopping when I can afford it helps as well. Even if its just goodwill.
