Title: How to find a trans friendly roommate on the east coast (US)
Post by: Daniellekai on May 09, 2018, 04:18:23 AM
Basically, I'm not sure how to go about this, I'm far enough along that I'm visibly more feminine than masculine, so it's probably gonna be pretty hard to hide soon, but I need a roommate (just a roommate), in order to leave my parents, so that I can go about my business in peace basically. I looked at roommates.com, doesn't seem to have options to specify LGBT friendly, or anything like that... The couple similar LGBT sites I found looked preeetty sketchy. Anyone have any ideas? I work till midnight, so it's kind of hard to network...

Do you have a LGBTQ support group in your area? If so, they would be your go to source.

There's a group that meets forest(feels like phone is getting worse at interpreting my swipes)  first Tuesday of every month, but I work during the time they meet so I can't really keep up appearances.

Hmm, that definitely makes it difficult. I guess you could call/email the group to see if they know of any sources, I would honestly be surprised if there wasn't some kind of resource.
