I will keep this briefing concise.

Our operative, Mrs. "E", is currently a spy-in-training. She graduated at the top of her class in the written exam, but once we put her out into the field...well, it was a different story.

She has 72 hours to clean-up her act, or she will surely be caught and interrogated on foreign soil. Our organization is a small one, so we're seeking the guidance of operatives stationed around the globe to aid her and help her complete her mission of *tries to read the file*, "Becoming...a pretty lady"

Here are her last known egregious blunders:

1- Wife grabbed phone and discovered a picture taken of E's pedicured toesies (April 18th, 2018 15:45)

2- Wife exclaimed desire for E to "get a haircut" (April 21st, 2018 07:52)

3- Wife was shocked at how long E's nails were getting, soon they'd be as long as hers! (April 28th, 2018 20:15)

4- E left her makeup brushes out to dry and then forgot about it completely. Somehow managed to convince wife
    when they were discovered that they were used in something other than feminization techniques.

We're calling for the assistance of any seasoned sexy spies out there with techniques, tricks, or ideas that they've utilized to great affect in the past(whether practical or just mental) during their career as an undercover operative.

Once I knew I wanted to transition, I just told everyone about it, so I'd make a terrible spy.  There wasn't even any torture involved!  Well, other than the torture of living as a man when you want to be a woman, of course.

For the ten years prior where I was too afraid to transition, here are the things I did to try and hide my true mission:
-told people I bought women's clothes as a personal shopper/assistant for a woman;
-any female related things I was doing was in preparation for a halloween contest or male beauty pageant;
-kept secret storage for female things so roommates wouldn't find out;
-I told romantic partners I had shaved my body hair in preparation for the swim team or because it was hot outside;

I'm out to my wife, but before I was, I was:
Keeping  things in my car.
Keeping things in my locker at work.
When I shaved (because it's one of my biggest triggers) I did it under the guise of "I want to see my muscle definition better" (I was a gym rat, yet another thing I did)

The people I'm not out to, mostly co-workers, when they ask why my hair is getting longer, I tell them that I'm sick of keeping it as short as possible for the last 20+ years of my life - (While I'm still in the Navy reserve, I'm pushing the envelope of the grooming regs)

Eryn, I can't offer any advice really since I'm "the other way" but I wanted to say I loved how you wrote that post!

Excellent advice, operatives! 

Though, under agent E's most recent assignment, she has committed yet several more blunders. We are starting to believe that her wife is just very acute to everything, but yet still has no clue that E is transgender.

Here are the further grievances:

1- Wife confused about smell of alcohol in trash can(acetone from nail polish remover) (May 10th, 17:45)

2- Wife notices bandaid on hand when E got a little aggressive with shaving; E is a terrible liar, but did the trick (May 11th, 07:35)

3- Wife asked questions about white foam she found in sink drain(is shaving cream, E used to use electric with no cream) E says it's LOTION, and also lies, but manages to get away. (May 13th, 12:15)

4- Wife notices E's finger nails are super shiny at lunch(E cries on the inside, because had to clip them) (May 13th, 16:30)


Your advice(and encouragement) has been greatly appreciated. E has been hiding things in her car, as well. But will think about buying girl clothes as gifts, and makeup for costume parties in the future.

But...

We here at HQ are greatly concerned with E's misconduct. She is walking on very thin ice now...

I wish I could help you with your mission, but I think my spy days are done. I am exhausted by all of the hiding and half-truths. I have pretty much come to the conclusion it is slowing my progress down way too much to continue on like this. Soooo I think tomorrow I am going to have a heart to heart with the person I am keeping things from. It's Mother's Day after all. The difference is I aborted my mission really two years ago when I told dear old mom that I was transgender. Later, I retracted all of it stating that I was having a mid-life crisis. I wish I had never done that...moment of weakness. It is time to make things right with her. Hopefully I can just do what needs to be done after that.

And...I hesitate to say this but.....honestly at the rate you're going it seems just a matter of time before it all comes out anyway. Would you rather your wife finds out the truth as the result of one of these lies falling apart or as the result of you sitting her down and having The Talk?

I think your wife may be starting to arrange all of the pieces of the puzzle in her mind, and may be in denial, or too afraid to ask what is really going on.  Maybe it's time to come in from the cold, and level with agent 99/wife.

We've received an encrypted message from operative E, following the cypher, it reads thus:

You gals are very right.  Now I'm sure she must be in denial of some sort, that or REALLY clueless. But, with someone noticing so many little(or large) things, how can they be clueless?  I say this because she made a point several times today to address me in very (not so uncommon) masculine terms.

I have several problems I am facing. I am trying to advance my transition much faster than I think will hold in this situation, I do not want to potentially 'ruin' our trip to Disney that she's been planning for over a year(there's going to be like 6 other people going, too) and something that only one brave soul wished to ask me in direct message and I told them everything. (yes, it's shocking, with such a big mouth, there are things I'd rather not say publicly)

That last thing, is probably the biggest reason why I can't outright tell her now, as much as I want to.  I will be making an update to my post about telling her with the help of Disney tonight.

For now, all I can do is try to be a bit more careful...

Fair enough.  :)  I definitely hope it all works out for you. Telling her fresh off of a great vacation together is not a bad idea.

I think that your wife is a counter-spy.  Although she may not know all the details of your secret plan, she knows that an operation is under way.

Ah, the painful beauty of self sabotage. The unconscious driving the body, leaving despicable acts for the conscious to try to cover up... and the agony of cover being blown. The hard decision is yet to come, come clean with 99 and hope to come in from the cold, talking it all through properly, or set out to become a sole operative, trying desperately to cling to the tattered remnants of your cover.
