While getting my first makeup lesson yesterday, the girl mentioned getting my face and neck waxed. I've got laser scheduled starting in October. I'm not real sure the waxing sounds like a very good idea. I'm also concerned that it might create problems when I do get laser. Just looking for advice from those that have done this.

Plucking and waxing all deform the root of the hair. It must be avoided to have a successful laser or electrolysis outcome.

I have heard that waxing messed up the follicles and makes electrolysis harder. I don't know if it does anything bad for laser. But given that laser isn't permanent, most people end up needing electrolysis eventually. I wouldn't do it.

Waxing is a no go if you're getting laser. Don't do it.

Thanks girls. It didn't seem right to me when she made the suggestion.
