Title: Swimwear
Post by: SailorMars1994 on May 15, 2018, 10:31:44 AM
Hey! So this summer I am planning to go to this water park called fun mountain located just outside of Winnipeg. I haven't been here since 2005 and haven't swam much in general since coming out 4 years ago due to many reasons.

Among those reasons were make up running off face exposing facial hair but I have been doing laser thenoast few months and by summer should be able to have a make up-less face and be just fine! The other issue is I am still 6 months away from surgery at least and with then kangarooing that has been taking place wouldn't be suprised if I don't get surgery until winter or early 2019. That being said, I want to go swimming and wonder how I can do so without a bulge of junk showing. Is there a technique or better yet special swim wear? Thanks

tucking is still an option you could wear something under your swimsuit to keep it in place if your swimsuit itself cant.
But you could also try finding swimwear that has a skirt. There are enough out there that look good for example(https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1280/4819/products/JOYMODE-Black-Quality-Two-Pieces-Swimsuit-Swimwear-Skirt-Women-Push-Up-Tankini-Dress-Beach-Wear-Set.jpg?v=1520994881)

In public I usually opt for a skirted bathing suit or some boy short style bikini bottom with some kind of tank top. The boy shorts I usually pair with some very tight underwear I have set aside for swimming.

The tank top has padding in the breast area and is long enough to hide a bulge...

People do not pay attention to it. You may wear a spandex bikinip bottom like this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2016-Sexy-Metal-Ring-Design-Push-Up-Bandeau-Bikini-Set-Strapless-Steel-Support-Padded-Women-Swimsuit/32630969517.html?tracelog=rowan&rowan_id1=sellerSendAllGoodsToBuyer_en_US_2016-08-02&rowan_msg_id=08463018990977$7ca65947f7a5463badd90c5043f28e63&ck=in_edm_other

I wear various bikini sets and the bulge is nearly the same as the model in the above link.

If you still worry about it, you may wear 2 bikini bottoms of the same color together.

Or, you may consider wearing inner pants like this one:

Usually I do not worry about hiding my bulge. I am more concerned with downplaying my bulging tummy!
I like the tankini and skirted bottoms from RoseGal.com They have some cute outfits for curvy, realistic sized girls,

Lands End has a lot of choices, from one pieces, tankinis with swim skirts and dresskinis. No, it's not cheap, but the quality of their products are pretty good.

The skirted swim suits are ok out of the water, but when swimming they float up.  You can sew washers into the bottom hem to counteract this problem.

Academy Sports has tennis skirts that go well with bikini tops. The cut is soft and feminine, and just barely long enough to camouflage the bulge. I got a black one to go with the black string bikini top I have.

I bought a long sleeve swim shirt from ModLily as well as a Tankini Top from Amazon. The swim shirt will go with the shorts I wore as a guy and just look more athletic, like a windsurfer kind of outfit. This kind of hides any bulge but also since I am still going through laser treatments so minimizing sun exposure I guess is advised...this will help I think. The Tankini top is black and kind of long as well. I'm looking for a boy-short bottom to go with.

I would SO do the skirted swim dress, but for a few reasons they seem out of bounds fashion wise for me at the moment.

Cool idea!
Just make sure to use good stainless steel washers, best would be a 316 (marine / surgical) grade due to higher corrosion resistance, especially in chlorine and salt water. Or a 316L (pressure vessels / A4 steel based on ISO) for even more corrosion resistance.

Oh.. and don't add too many [emoji1]

Edit: 304 matches ISO A2, not 316...

Last year before fully out I wore swim shirt and swim shorts with a bikini bottom under the shorts for tucking.  This year I'll have to add a bikini top under the shirt. Too much belly to not wear the shirt. Unless I find me a tankini. That one @Sarah1972 linked to is pretty cute.
