As ive become more at ease internally with who i actually am over the last 6 months or so im definatly letting myself think more female, where before this time it was mostly suppressed and well confussed. If for instance i was talking to someone and my reply was something like "thats the type of guy / girl i am" in my head now its always girl but need to filter before i speak to make sure guy comes out. Its happening more and more and im just waiting for that slip up to happen.
When not out how did you find this?
Did you slip up and say things unfiltered? What happened?
The other strange thing that happened last week was u was talking to a guy for around 15 mins while at work, someone ive not spoke to propperly in awhile so was more of a catch up, was very freindly and a bit fun. Now it felt a bit like i was being chatted up! Im sure this wasnt the case and was just in my head but does this happen to anyone else?!

I've found that the longer I live as myself, the weirder it is to even find myself thinking "male" anymore. Over time I've pretty much forgotten old habits and it really seems like I'm examining a character that I stopped playing in a game when I view my pretransition self. Honestly pretransition everything I did was almost as if I was acting. Now a days, there is no act and I can be myself.

Answering the phone at work have dead named myself twice (don't answer phone normally but manager was busy) and have said "he says " in a sentence rather than "she says" , still it takes a while to override 60 odd years of life and yes careful thoughts before speaking

Living in a community that is hesitant in how they approach transgendered individuals, having people use the correct terminology is affirming and usually the difference between a good and bad day for me

Yes. It's taken many years to build a filter for my inner aspie and yet I still screw up.

A way to keep this all in the proper perspective is that we have 2 ears and 1 mouth.... we should then get the idea that we should listen much more that we speak...
... and then of course we need to think carefully before we speak because we can not reel-in the words that leave our tongue once they are spoken... it is kinda like sending that email that you later wish that you would not have.
Hugs to all,
Danielle

Yes Jo, I feel I have been an actress all my life and I occasionally slip up in speech due to lack of concentration as I know I am a girl.
Fortunately we have usually managed to "laugh it off" or otherwise the other person had already realized my secret!

What? I have a filter? Where?
I just thought I had poor foot-mouth coordination.
