Hi! I'm trying to find information about how SRS is in Sweden so I can decide if I want to do it here or in Thailand or somewhere else. If anyone had SRS I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could tell me a bit about it, because there isn't very much information to find online! I've seen some random forum posts say it's awful, but I don't know what to make of that since it was years ago. I found this text written by one of the surgeons <link removed by moderator> and it has two results available on page 13. (nsfw obviously ALSO VERY EXPLICIT IMAGES OF THE SURGERY RIGHT BEFORE PAGE 13) But that's pretty much all I've found, haven't heard any testimonies or anything like that, so please if you've had SRS in Sweden do tell what it was like and how you like your new vagina! It would help me, and I'm sure many other Swedish trans girls out a ton! :)

I didn't read it in depth, but I have a few comments on that paper anyway.
The photo's are not very useful due to the way they are taken. I don't think its possible to say if they are good or bad. I might of missed it, but it doesn't seem to say who the surgeon was for those photos or when they were taken, and I think its important.
The rate of rectovaginal fistula is very high compared to some surgeons. I believe this is related to the surgeons skill.
Average depth seems to be 10cm. That's not a lot, especially compared to some surgeons.
I'll pm you a link to some more photo's, but I don't think any are from Sweden.

Like here in Finland, it´s part of public health care. The result withtout a doubt, is adequate. It´s the same technique as they use in Finland and the surgeons without a doubt consult and discuss with each others.
At least here it´s a cat fight, between the Finnish SRS and Thai SRS, everyone defending their choise.
I think it would be better for you to find trans support groups from Sweden and ask this question there. A lot of experience from there. And I´m quite sure Swedish ts have a forum of their own.
But then again, if you have the money, go for Thailand because I´m sure the wait time in Sweden is also years and years and the surgeons will still make you jump more obstacles, like in Finland.
