Title: Hairloss before hormones
Post by: Danigirl910 on June 13, 2018, 06:08:14 AM
Ladies,

I been on hormones for 10 months. I had male pattern baldness and am trying to reverse it. Can someone point me in the right direction on which product to use to correct this issue?

Thanks for the help ladies!

Dani

Hormones (estrogen/decapeptyl) stop hair loss

Its properly best to go to your local hair clinic.

Male pattern baldness can only be reversed if you still have very fine hairs in the bald spots. These hair can be white. If its shiny and no visible hair of any kind then it cannot be reversed. The only option will be hair transplant. Finastride should be on your hrt regime and use rogaine. Using rogaine when on hrt is not like cis men using it, you can stop and hair still grows

I had some hair loss before I started HRT. Getting on estrogen and testosterone blockers helped. I noticed some improvement. Started on Biotin a few weeks back and while its still early days I think my hair does seem a bit healthier and thicker. as for regrowth, the budding bald patch is gone, but sadly hairline recession hasn't been reversed so its a matter of choosing my hairstyle carefully.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Most of the time, recent hair loss can be reversed with HRT but if the hair has been gone for a while, it may not return. The proper medications tend to stop hair loss and then it becomes a matter of time to determine what hair will return. For many on the site, the hair is gone but if they still have sufficient hair in other places, they resort to hair transplants to fill in the gap. At 10 months you many not have seen all the regrowth as regrowth can continue for several years.
