Title: Nipple Warning!
Post by: Jin on June 22, 2018, 10:29:01 AM
While gardening topless is a fun and natural way to do things, I have one warning to share.
Be very cautious how you carry your tools! Last night I pinched myself between the handles of the shovel and rake. Eyowww! I cried so hard that I wet my panties! Them my wife laughed so hard that she wet her panties too!

I'm fairly white skin, so I'd be scared of getting skin cancer.. I will go out though with shorts & a sports bra to garden, however.

Me, too, except that I will only go out to work on the property in jeans and a long sleeve shirt (my wife calls it my serial killer shirt because it looks like the one Dexter wore in that series. LOL), with a wide brim hat.

I'll wear denim that the mosquitoes can't bite through.  And put DEET on my feet.

They don't seem to bother me as much now that I've shaved my armpits and legs.

A hat to warn me that I'm getting too close to something!  Gotta dress for success!

OH I KNOW Jin!!!! I was fully dressed when I picked up a cardboard box and while putting it under my arm, I poked my nipple. I cringed from the pain so bad that when I opened my eyes again, I looked to see if anyone saw me jump out of my skin lol. It hurt for the rest of the day.  :o

Beware of more than that!  Doors are not your friend.
Bruised Rhonda bad!  Lucy laughed until I smashed her after a stumble.

Soft hugs, Jessica

ahhh, yes.... "nipples"  .... I never really talked about the much, or even thought about them much before I started transitioning BUT now they are an important part of what I was becoming and now have become.
When I first started HRT I was shocked at the sensitivity, the fullness, and the constant feelings and appearance of my nipples being erect and poking noticeably under my shirts.... or rubbing under the sheet covers while in bed.

I have always been very active, involved in marathons, running, jogging, hiking, etc.... Even before my breasts started growing I soon found (painfully) found that when doing those activities that just my nipples rubbing on my shirts, raised havoc and sometimes resulted in irritated nipples to the point that I had to put bandaids over them to protect them but being rubbed raw....
... then I moved on to a tight, low profile sports bra which better protected them.

Now, of course, for me, HRT has done it's job, I wear bras full time, and yes if I carry a big box, or am not careful and bump them ... my nipples and my breasts can hurt.   Now, I would never consider doing any of my old active life style activities without a sports bra to keeps things from bouncing painfully around....   and just every day dress requires a proper fitting regular bra...  it is a new world having larger and more sensitive nipples and breasts that I am always conscious of and are a part of my body and being a woman.

Hugs,
Danielle

So very true, after just six months (ymmv) I needed support from the jarring movement of tender breasts while running and especially going down stairs (at any point in time) or down hills!

Ouch ouch ouch, Jess 🌸🌸🌸

I learned the hard way to always wear a bra when working with garden tools.  It is just too darned easy to bonk, squeeze, or otherwise hurt them.

Way back, when I was deep in male mode and not even thinking about being trans, I used to do cross-country ski marathons.  One year, it was -25C, and, being relatively lightly dressed due to the exercise, my nipples stayed erect for the entire 4+ hours.  They were raw and almost bleeding by the time I finished, just from rubbing against my shirt.  The next year, I put band-aids over them.

Dear Kathy.... I have been there and done that.  At one marathon in particular that I ran after about 2 months of HRT I had on a white top and both of my nipples were bleeding mid way in the race...  I stopped at one of the aid stations along the way and they were able to give me bandaids to put over my nipples so I could finish the race... but I was so embarrassed at the finish line with blood stains on my top obviously coming from my nipples.....  I died a thousand deaths.
Thanks for letting me know that I am not the only one on the Forums that has had this happen.
Hugs,
Danielle

That's where a good comfortable bra comes in handy. The bra will not only support your breasts, but will soften any blows, if they have some padding. While the temperatures hover around 106 to 108, a padded bra is out of the question, but it's also too hot to do anything outdoors.
