I believe that Dr Christine Becker will be one of the people interviewed for the show. She had mentioned the possibility of doing this show last week in our session.

A coworker told me that Larry was pretty much uninformed and kept asking dumb, if not insulting, questions.

". . . dumb, if not insulting, questions."
Unfortunately, the questions Larry asked were the kind that the normal, trans-ignorant person would ask if they dared, imo, so maybe, since the answers were pretty good, those ignorant people got a little more good information making them a little less ignorant.
I was disappointed in the superficial way the subject was presented but I think that's the only way it can be done if you have 4 or 5 guests and less than an hour to present them. I was encouraged by the inclusion of some transmen.
In general, I think the show was OK and could have been better although I didn't expect it to be.

I checked the schedule for Larry King for the rest of the week and couldn't find any information on this show.
Any idea when I will be on in the West Coast?

Sadly I have to completely agree with you Helen. It was a good try but it would seem the only reason it was done was to jump on the Best Movie (Oscar) band wagon, to show that his show was up with the times etc...

I read the transcript of Larry King's show on the movie Transamerica. He seems to have handle the topic mater of factly like he usually does. Being accepted on Larry King Live does bring some acceptance in American society or it brings a negative reponse from the forces of intolerance. It will be interesting to see what happens and how Larry King handles it.
