Title: Back to male mode!!
Post by: Ciara on July 11, 2018, 08:02:02 AM
I now need to take off my dress, remove my female clothes (well most of them), get back into male clothes and go to work.
God I hate this!!

I hear you!  Emotionally, the time I was part-time was the hardest.  Going back to male mode always hurt.

I have to do this next week too :( I work construction and I've been off since the very end of April, I'm starting a job monday that's supposed to go until November. After that I'm looking for a new line of work, but for now this money is hard to pass up

Being in-between was extremely difficult for me.  It got to the point I had to express full time. There was a point when I was very stressed getting dressed in the morning for work. I would put on female cloths and then change. I came out on a Friday and expressed on a Monday. Once I did that it was tough for a few days and gradually got better. Now I am accepted.

Sorry to hear about what's going on Ciara.  After having a chance to live authentically, it must be very frustrating to go back to living a lie.

honestly, I might not have to deal with the part timing, it all depends on if I get a job before or after im 18. my college has recognized the gender and name. its all just waiting on a legal change at 18(familial issues prevent me speeding that part up). so imma hate the juming around if I get a job now and not in like 3 or 4 months.

I ended that part as fast as I possibly could. I hate not being me, and me is not male.

anybody know how chillis will react to a transgender worker? I have an interview with them, and they were the first place I found without gender on their application, and they even had a preferred name spot that I of course filled out.

I also fully appreciate the Part Time problem. For years I thought I could "manage" being transgender simply by being PT. However later the GD got so bad, that I had to seek help - therapy and then HRT. Starting HRT I thought I had found the solution - remain PT and increase femininity by HRT. After 3 months HRT I was happy to wait a long time (at least 20 months) for HRT physical benefits before considering Full Time. Now after 5 months whereas I know I must wait for further physical benefits, I am not at completely at ease with PT and I feel may have to reduce period from "at least 20 months" to an attainable but realistic period perhaps " a maximum of 20 months" at worst but
preferably shorter as I am becoming frustrated at the wait but also I realise I must be patient.

Yes PT is hard. Noone likes to wait and wait and wait.
