Title: Money Transfer services
Post by: jill610 on July 30, 2018, 04:58:04 AM
I am not entirely sure where this belong?

So I need to transfer money from my US bank account over to facial team and was wondering what services folks have used? I am looking at transferwise but a bit leery to use anything other than an fdic bank. But I want to get the best rate I can (0.857 this morning) with the least in fees.

Thoughts? Experiences?

My US-based bank was able to directly wire transfer to FacialTeam.  Took a bit of extra time, bank clerk had to deal with several screens of information and enter everything exactly.  Transfer went through just fine.

Jill I'll PM some additional details.

Jill, I do business with a company in Italy, and we transfer funds back and forth occasionally. My bank handles it for me for a fee, usually $25. They will also handle currency conversion if FT wants to be paid in Euros. There may be a fee for that, too, usually about 7 cents per dollar.

I'm sure FT does this all the time, and can give you the details like bank number, SWIFT code, or whatever they need.

Good luck. I hope to transfer money to FT soon, myself!

I think I was unclear on my question :)

I have already sent my 20% deposit to FT and looking for a way to get a better rate more cheaply than through my bank (Wells Fargo) directly.

I have seen transferwise suggested but no experience using 3rd party services so I am a bit nervous if you know what I mean.
