@SallyChoasAura
NO, it is not working.... you are not using the instructions that I posted....

.... use my instructions for using the Imgur.com image hosting site.
Go to this link in the General Discussion section of the Forums,
                then to Frequently Asked Questions
then to Topic: "Trouble posting pictures???  HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS"

****Here is the link to my instructions for posting a picture
   https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,239999.0.html

Here is your test picture uploaded to and then downloaded from Imgur.com
(https://i.imgur.com/4Z0y3p0.jpg)

I can easily delete the Imgur.com file of your test picture if you desire.

Please let know if you are still having difficulties.

You weren't linking to an image file such as a file ending in .jpg .

You were linking to the name of an html page, whereas the Google image file is 20180807_164720.jpg .  However, Google is so convoluted that it does not show the location of the image file so that you can directly link to it.

As Danielle suggests, uploading to Imgur makes it simpler.

Testing putting up an image...

There is a way to get the image location in Google but it is convoluted.
Step one:
Put the location you tried to link to in your browser.

That takes you to your shared album.

Step two:
Click on your photo.  Then it should have a black background.

Step three:
Right click on your photo and select "copy image location".

Step four:
Paste the image location into your post.
In this case, it is the url
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/RwFXx0KIEm3_WsRDIAYAUOoAj2Nm86JpWYycRtCsh_6pUe7HXlf3uXBy6pIFSVigbCnVZ20xcsO2mNKjb7wj10Bo7C5gRKEJ-4g5Bm9YACL9AcEEJ5eTbFZnIXttCm5xQFRoUIRU=w485-h646-no

In spite of the fact that it does not end in jpg, that is Google's location AND NAME for your image.

Step five:
Put [*img] at the start of the url and [*/img] at the end, WITHOUT the asterisks.  (I put them in because forum markup language does not display in the forum.)

You then have

(https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/RwFXx0KIEm3_WsRDIAYAUOoAj2Nm86JpWYycRtCsh_6pUe7HXlf3uXBy6pIFSVigbCnVZ20xcsO2mNKjb7wj10Bo7C5gRKEJ-4g5Bm9YACL9AcEEJ5eTbFZnIXttCm5xQFRoUIRU=w485-h646-no)

If you quote this post, you will see what the photo link looks like.

If you were to e.g. download the photo, though, you would find that its name is 20180807_164720.jpg .

Imgur is probably simpler, though.

This post can be deleted if you like.

Thanks. Please keep it up for other people though. Ya know, in case they're having trouble too.
