My 4 children from 6 years old to 34 years old still celebrate Fathers day with me. Its Mothers day in Thailand, its a big deal here and a National Holiday. I am happy to celebrate the day my children choose but a few of my friends are interested in which date my tg friends celebrate?

Hi Warlockmaker,
I'm not very far into transition even though I started HRT in2015. My son's always call me Daddy even if I'm wearing a dress & makeup. I have made it very clear to everyone I will always be their father even if I am a woman. I would never impinge on their mothers realm. Always mothers day for my wife and fathers day for me.
My 20c worth only, Kirsten.

Same here, Father's Day. But this year I was treated to dinner on Mother's Day. I couldn't imagine pushing them to call me Mom as their mother died in 2012.

As my daughter is only 18 months old we currently celebrate Mothers day weekend. One day for my wife and one day for me. When she gets older the plan is to just celebrate Mothers day, but eventually, our daughter gets to decide.

This year I was asked if I wanted to celebrate father day...I think my wife sees a significant difference in me from this time last year. She thought I might feel happier celebrating mothers day since I am "female now" I kind of turned it around on her a bit and asked how she would feel if we shared mother day...In her usual lovely way she started to say that it was only fair etc etc.., I said to her that it does not matter how many surgeries or how much HRT I have those girls are my daughters and I fathered them. Fathers day is about them honouring their father.
I don't go out on fathers day and prefer to spend the time with them at home. We may go out for afternoon tea but that will be the most we do. To me this is about spending time with my Daughters.
Take care
Liz

I'm still Dad to my kids. Suspect I always will be. That being said it feels a bit.. odd celebrating Fathers day. I think I will just suggest they let it go.

And they still call me dad even in public. It use to cause me to look around but now I dont care, its a title and I am comfortable with it. I dont want them to call me by my name, I will always be dad and thats ok.

I don't have any children of my own, just two step-kids, well, both in their early 30s so not really kids. I used to get a fathers day card but now I get nothing at all. Nothing for fathers day and nothing for mothers day. :'(
