Title: recent real life comments
Post by: Anastasia on August 14, 2018, 10:20:50 PM
Recently, I have had a couple of comments made to me that make me go hmmm. Either comment I could have brushed off, but two coming so close together make me wonder.

A couple of months ago, I was shopping for men's clothes in a nicer department store. A sales rep came up to me to help. After a few minutes, she told me that she was representing a new clothing manufacturer/line that offered shirts with a little extra support. She then showed me a shirt that had "pectoral support" as she put it. It was a shirt with a built in shelf bra. Okay, no problem with that. I am a little over weight and sport small man boobs. I told her I wasn't interested today and that I have several bras I can wear when I need to.

The second comment came when I was a Lowe's (a home improvement store). I was reading the label on some bug spray when a lady, about my age, (late 40's) comes up to me a suggests that I really need to wear a bra if I am going to wear that style of top. I looked down to make sure I wasn't exposed, and I wasn't. The top I was wearing was a women's racer back, basic black. She wasn't rude or nasty. She said it in the same way someone might politely know my zipper  was down.

Part of me is hopeful willpower is causing breast growth, but I know it's not. Part of me is concerned because if I am developing breasts, there has to be a not good reason why. So, I am wondering, should I make an appointment that will most likely be useless, (I already know I'm overweight, but it has held steady for several years) or wait until a regular check up sometime in October/November?

I think a lot more people are aware of gynecomastia these days and the industry sees new customers so maybe they are on the lookout a little more.  And here is to hoping that your breast dreams come true!
