Title: Gender marker
Post by: Shennae on August 25, 2018, 08:57:44 PM
I was wondering when I can change my gender marker? Do I have to wait for SRS or can it be done right away? I live in Minnesota.

A little google and I came up with this link (http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/chs/osr/amend.html) that should provide you with all the information you will need.

I didn't bother changing my birth certificate.  In my state (WA) I was able to change gender marker on drivers license using a simple form signed by my endocrinologist.  Minnesota driver license gender marker change is here (https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/dvs/Pages/gender-change-policy.aspx).

Updated US Passport and taxpayer ID (Social Security) required letter from doctor for gender marker and local court order for name change - I did that before any surgery.
