Susan's Place Transgender Resources

I've had a tough week as I have afib and need to get a cardioversion. I also have not been eating well. I have lost 30 lbs the last six weeks. I've had a very blessed life and I am not going to bemone my health.But I do want to thank all my new friends for their kindness these last two years. If not for the advice from Dena I would not have spent that time as happy as I have. You all have been so open and loving I wish I could have met you all before. I knew virtually nothing when I started and now I am pretty up to date. I remember my first encounter with Chris Deee and how accommodating she was at my ignorance. I am so happy that many of you have achieved your dreams and are now content with your lives. I would say I am envious if not for the privilege of of knowing I have gotten an extra twenty years. I have met some amazing people online. And I have made some errors along the way. Mostly out of ignorance.
I value the connection we have made with people Like Moni, Maddie, Maddie 88, Alaska Danielle, Tatiyana, Devlyn, Julia99, Bari Jo, Roll, Michelle_p, Archlord, Barbie, Jess, Ashley, Jessica, Kendra, Laurie, Jacqualine. A special thanks to Susan for providing such a wonderful outlet.
I may be talking out my arse but I just want to make sure that you know what a wonderful bunch of people you are, just in case. And the special place you all hold in my heart. To those of you I have not acknowledged, please forgive me. I hope that after next week I'll be back and have many more years to spend with you.

We are all blessed with each other's love and support. 
We are a family, and families care and help one another.
I pray your health gets back on track.

   Okay, time to lay down the law! You my friend, are much loved here, and no excuses will be accepted for not being here.  :) There is risk with any procedure and I know you are worried about this. You must approach it with a positive frame of mind. I work with a friend who had this procedure, and he is the same crazy silly nut after the procedure that he was before. So if you were expecting that to be fixed for you, I'm sorry to disappoint you. Seriously, with things like this, there is a lot beyond our control. What you can control, do the right things, take care of yourself. Love you Dawn!

Dawn, I am new to Susan's, but I have found the people here wonderful, you among them. Good luck with the procedure. I've had a cardioversion, an ablation, open heart surgery and currently sport a pacemaker. Cardiology is very advanced today. Will be thinking and rooting for you, waiting to hear a good report. Dawn stop it.  This reads like you think you're going somewhere!  I'm sure you have a team of talented and experienced doctors and nurses to care for you.

My Dear Dawn:
Reading your posting here on this thread is making me cry...   
Hang in there... the following is my personal mantra that I would like you to adopt:
   "I plan to live forever, so far so good"

I am always so encouraged by your uplifting and positive attitude that you portray in your many postings in spite of your health issues.   
Stay positive, stick around here, and keep your encouraging and uplifting posts coming.

Thanks for the well wishes my sweets. I am sure I will survive just like the other 12 times. I only had two experiences where I was on the verge of death. Once I was in a coma for four days. The other I was coming out of surgery and my heart would not go back into rhythm. A doctor I had never seen before and I never saw again came and touched me and I immediately went back into rhythm. Someone has definitely been looking out for me. Besides I have barely started my journey and I like you all. I love your stories, your successes. It inspires me. This is just one small setback and I suspect I'll be boring you ladies for a long time to come. :D But I just wanted you all to know how much you mean to me just in case. Hey, I've been a planner for 40 years.   

I can't wait to be bored by you over the next few years !
